One thing I learned about working in the professional industry is that the pros work fast and good. This comes with experience but also something that sounds super simple that most will ignore. When I see new editors they stress about not knowing how to create certain effects. Pros just use a lot of plug-ins and presets along with their intuition of editing. Allowing them to have more creative descisions. Do you guys ever get inspired on writing stories based on current events? And how do you decide a character of interest for that story? For example the strike that it is happening in the US East coast, the Ship ports are stopped to a halt. Or a bridge collapse that happened near an university and killed people. What angle would you center your main character on when you think about these things? - On the strike do you center it on a character that is not receiving money due to a strike and that stirs up conflit in his house? Do you center it on a character of the opposition, the corporate guy pushing the corporate agenda and automation to save the companies money? - On the bridge collapse would you center it on the engineer that designed it and now has to live with the fact that they approved the blueprints? or would you center it on a person that is driving and then gets killed by the bridge? I am genuinely curious if you guys have a cool story idea. Then have a debate on who do you really want to center the story on. Let me know down below 👇🏽
