Likeness?
Any (quick) changes I can make to their faces to improve likeness? Still working on the hand.

@William Ballard thank you so much! And I will be lightening up the harsh lines around the eyelid too. It helps so much to have a second set of eyes on it when you’ve been staring at it for hours 😂
3 year olds are feral
I have worked on this piece for several hours (this was a Christmas gift for someone, not a commission) and just when I thought I was about done, just needing to finish up the hand, I decided it was time to brush my teeth before bed and as I was brushing my teeth thinking about how perfect the mouths and ear SPECIFICALLY looked…. I come back (3 minutes later….. to find my 3 year old has scribbled all over their mouths and ear. Specifically. LITERALLY WHY, LILY ALSO, when I left the room she was halfway asleep under the covers sucking on her thumb. She had to have JUMPED out of bed as soon as I left. Wtf. safe to say I immediately ordered a kids Art easel on Amazon for Christmas. This will not happen again. I’ve lost so many great pieces to her. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I’m still working to salvage it. I think I’ve done a decent job saving it. Still working on it. She loves to put her mark on things 😂
Vibrance Glaze
I almost called this painting done, but then decided the colors were a little bland and it needed more vibrancy. It’s still in progress but I think the dogs already feel more alive.

Ooo I love the changes!! Very well done.
Commission diversity
Having adhd, the most important thing to me as a commission artist is diversity in commission types. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of talk from the artist community saying that you should focus on one type of art or one style and I’ve always felt that it’s just not for me. I truly feel like it’s part of having adhd and needing variety and newness. Anyone else highly prefer exploring styles, mediums, crafts rather than sticking to one thing? I feel like the diversity allows me to reach more clients than I would usually be able to as well. There’s so many types of art out there and so many different types of people all who appreciate different types of art! Thoughts? 💭

@William Ballard yessss I love the idea of doing series as well! Good compromise and gives you a chance to really perfect an idea/style before moving on.
