Apps that improved my art overnight
Here’s a few apps that took my art to the next level. I’m always trying to find ways to make things as efficient as possible so I can make as much art as possible. For Sketching/proportions: Da Vinci Eye- turns your phone into a makeshift projector. Makes getting correct proportions quick and easy https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ar-art-projector-da-vinci-eye/id1120304868 Stop Motion Factory- free alternative to da Vinci eye https://apps.apple.com/us/app/stop-motion-factory/id1566814098 For Color: Color Name AR- free color picker app to get the right color and value every time. Our eyes love to trick us on how bright or dark something is based on its surroundings. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/color-name-ar/id906955675 Color Picker- https://apps.apple.com/us/app/color-picker-pixel-color/id1400884755

A wedding painting for a few friends. I love a really dark background. It seems to create so much more visual interest

Commission diversity
Having adhd, the most important thing to me as a commission artist is diversity in commission types. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of talk from the artist community saying that you should focus on one type of art or one style and I’ve always felt that it’s just not for me. I truly feel like it’s part of having adhd and needing variety and newness. Anyone else highly prefer exploring styles, mediums, crafts rather than sticking to one thing? I feel like the diversity allows me to reach more clients than I would usually be able to as well. There’s so many types of art out there and so many different types of people all who appreciate different types of art! Thoughts? 💭

I'm also a huge fan of variety. I have more ideas than I'll ever be able to try out in one lifetime. I love the process of experimenting constantly, but I also love the consistency of artists who have more of a "style". I'm always trying to balance chasing shiny objects and new ideas with fully exploring the ideas I've started on/committed to. This past year I've started forcing myself to work in series of 5-12 paintings so I do have to fully commit and explore an idea before moving on. This seems to work well for me, but I dont know if I'll ever settle on any single style. Time will tell.

This is so incredible. I admire the patience you must have working with ballpoint pens.
Todays Project: Photo Lookbook
My diy photo studio consists of a white sheet, 2 softboxes, and an iphone 11 camera (pretty advanced stuff). Over the years I’ve had fun editing some pretty horrible pictures into something that becomes the creative for my website, ads, instagram, and more. I find it pretty funny comparing the before and after photos so here’s one from today for your amusement.

This looks sick. It's obvious that your good editing skills are so much more important than fancy equipment.
