Something I've Been Pondering...
Something I’ve been saying in my yoga classes for a long time that I wanted to remind you of today is, “show up the best you can with whatever you have to work with”. Listen to your bodies’ current state, tune in to the signals, honor and respect its “limitations”. Consistency is the key, not perfection. Each and every practice is an opportunity for inner growth, and self-discovery. The more you show up, the more we grow. Celebrate the small breakthroughs that you notice on and off your mat. The way your body feels, the way your mind is calm, the way that you interact with others, etc. This acknowledgment and heightened level awareness is where the magic is happening. Keep showing up with what you got, keep planting those seeds of intention into your practice, and most importantly KEEP BEING YOU!

Love this, heard you say it plenty of times. I open every class reminding them that they’re different in this moment than they were in any other and they have honor who they are right now.
Be authentic.
Moving from a world where I was the “gentle” teacher (Team #Noyasa) to a world where I teach Hot and Power and Sculpt was intimidating. It honestly made me want to change how I teach, and it was a struggle for weeks to find the balance between their methodology and my voice. But I did it. And it resonated. Be authentic. Use your voice. Speak from your heart. Teach from your scars. They WILL love you.

@Pedro Luna thank you!!!!
A template for your Intro Post 👇
Hey all! I'm Eric from Philly (moving out west soon!) I've been practicing yoga since December 2017 and it's led me to a lot of cool people, @Pedro Luna being one of them. I love vinyasa yoga, and Wim Hof yoga (I know it's funny) because it incorporates breathwork into my practice. A successful month would look like doing my yoga practice every day, meeting new people, and having fun with it. For your intro, try using this template: - Where are you based? - Where are you on your yoga journey? - Which types of yoga are your favorite? - What would a successful 30 days look like for you? - What’s your social media handle? (so we can support you!)

@Eric Rodriguez I haven’t had a chance to do much with them yet. I’ll let you know?

@Kat Learmonth welcome! I love Kundalini but also have only done it sporadically. I’m so happy you’ve been able to settle into a regular practice.
Weekend Reminder
One of the most important things you can do for everyone else is to take care of yourself! Hope you have an amazing weekend! Drop a self care GIF on this thread if you’re showing up for you this weekend!

Outside the comfort zone
Every Saturday I teach the 8 am hot flow. The class after mine is a sculpt class, and while I take it and teach a shorter hybrid version of it weekly, I have never taught the full hour length class before and doubted I had the energy to do so. WRONG. The teacher became ill last night and at 6 am I told her I’d sub her class. And I did. And it felt amazing! Friends, celebrate a personal win in the comments here. Tell me about the time you stepped outside your comfort zone and slayed. Tell me about how you hyped yourself up and did something amazing. No win is too small to celebrate!
