Burnout is real but there's are ways to prevent it...
One year ago, I reached a breaking point. I was working 12-hour days, barely sleeping, and constantly feeling overwhelmed. The pressure to keep up with everything led to burnout. I was exhausted, uninspired, and questioning if this path was even worth it anymore. So, I made the hardest decision of my life. I stepped back. I cut my work hours in half, reorganized the way I ran my business, refocused on my health, and prioritized time with family. At first, it felt impossible. I feared falling behind. But something incredible happened. By giving myself room to breathe, I came back stronger. My creativity flourished, my productivity improved, and I was more energized than ever. By focusing on the things that I enjoyed doing I was able to feel energized while doing them. Looking back, burnout wasn’t a sign of weakness—it was a signal to reset. Lessons Learned: 1. Success is not defined by how hard you work, but by how smart you work. 2. Rest is not a reward—it’s a requirement. 3. True productivity happens when you protect your energy. 4. The fear of falling behind is just that—a fear. Prioritize yourself, and success will follow. 5. Balance isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Have you ever felt this way? What's the most effective way to prevent burnout?

This resonates with me on many levels. For me, to prevent burnout, I take a deep breath and try to remember what my true priorities are. Another mantra that has helped, is "wait, and be faithful". Sometimes, we need to hold back on one thing or another and work on what is presently in front of us, with great care. My biggest learning in this season of not being in a workplace: only offer out loud what I actually want to do or act on. That way I am not over-promising and under-delivering AND I am able to keep strong boundaries.
Are you anxiously losing track of time?
If you're like me, you're probably always short on time and looking for ways to optimize it. Whether you're a job seeker feeling bogged down from endlessly applying or you're trying to launch and grow your side hustle, it can be overwhelming. What I realized is that if you're not tracking how you spend your time, you're probably not making the best use of it. This is why I started tracking all my activities using a tracker (or calendar) and sticking to it as closely as I can. It brings you awareness and allows you to be super mindful of how you spend your time. Hopefully this can help you on your journey too, try it out and let me know the results! Here is the link to the doc.

I tried a couple and was pleasantly surprised - especially when I asked how to look at my resume and find entry level tech jobs. I never would have thought of looking at User Experience Researcher... or noticed what UX/UI was.
