Above, is the last question in my weekly partnership notes that I’m supposed to send via email. Gabrielle has given me the confidence to answer, for the first time in my almost three years of working here, with, “I don’t think I need to change anything from this particular call,” instead of making up an answer to appease upper management. I feel good.

My boss likes to have a daily zoom session that runs from 9am to EOD. It’s almost purely so we can have more of an in-office feel, since we all work from home. The thing is that it’s exclusively mandatory for my team, and I don’t want to socialize or talk to anybody unnecessarily. His intentions are “good,” but no one visits me anyway, so it’s a waste of my computer’s finite resources. Plus, I’m not a fan of the idea that he can pop in whenever he wants. I’m micromanaged enough, as every second of my day is tracked via SalesForce and Cisco. Have you all dealt with this before?
