Thursday, 21 November - Day 6 of 75
🚀 Short Summary of the Day A productive and insightful day! Started early, took in a marathon 6-hour livestream from Sonny, and made some pivotal decisions for my personal platform. Switched tools and began planning significant upgrades to my workflow and platform backend. 📋 Detailed Progress and Achievements Morning Productivity: • Woke up early, feeling much better after the migraine subsided overnight. • Took my dog for a morning walk—always a good way to kickstart the day! Sonny’s Livestream: • Spent 6 hours watching Sonny’s livestream—intense but packed with invaluable insights. • Learned about Convex and its capabilities, which are perfect for my platform’s needs: • Realtime data processing. • Cloud integration. • Web hook support. • Made the decision to adopt Convex as the backend for my platform to handle the heavy data flow with smooth realtime feedback. Tool Upgrades: Decided to switch from VS Code (with Tabnine) to Cursor for development: • Inspired by Sonny’s demonstration. • Hoping the AI-assisted capabilities of Cursor improve efficiency and development speed. • Starting a trial to evaluate its impact on my workflow. Weekend Plans: • Scheduled to integrate Sanity CMS into my platform. • Preparing to re-record the YouTube tutorial for higher quality and depth. • Diving back into desktop app development with plans to make significant progress. 💭 Final Thoughts Today was full of inspiration and progress, and I’m really excited to see how Convex and Cursor improve my workflow. With a busy weekend ahead, I’ll need to keep the momentum going. Big shoutout to @Sonny Sangha for the incredible livestream—pure gold for anyone building modern web apps!

🚀 Short Summary of the Day Dealt with a debilitating migraine all day, which left me unable to do much besides rest. Managed to jot down some notes and ideas for my personal platform, focusing on backend architecture and database schema design. 📋 Detailed Progress and Achievements Health and Rest: • Struggled with a high-frequency migraine, which kept me in and out of naps throughout the day. • Finally gave in and went to bed early around 9 PM. Despite being used to these migraines, they’re always a challenge. Platform Planning: • Wrote down detailed notes on changes and improvements for my personal platform. • Focused on backend solutions, specifically integrating Next Auth and Appwrite as backups using my custom adapter utility. • Began sketching out the schema for the database and brainstorming logic for core functionality. 💭 Final Thoughts Today wasn’t productive in the traditional sense, but the time spent thinking through platform improvements and jotting down ideas will guide the next steps. Sometimes, even small mental efforts can make a big difference on days when health gets in the way. Hoping for a clearer head tomorrow! 🌟

RIP your pc but you’re making great progress 🔥
Day 50 of Dev50 (Tue 19th Nov)
Reflections: Well, this is it for me on this challenge. It has been a good exercise. A good chance to reflect on how I am using my time, if I am fully taking advantage of my days etc. It has helped me focus more, strengthen good habits and eliminate or dilute bad ones. Ready to keep pushing forward. 1️⃣a Good Sleep Last Night: ✅ Very good. Reading a book before bed always helps me to sleep better. Daily exercise is also so important. Preferably first thing in the morn. 1️⃣b Productive Morning: ✅ Got up early and went for a recovery walk. Was going to have a light jog but still feeling a bit too sore from the race at the weekend. Came back to find the cat had chewed through the internet cable, so hotspotting from my phone atm. I will sort out a new cable later today. 2️⃣ Organise to-dos… and do them: ✅ 3️⃣ 30 Minutes of Learning: ✅ Reading various docs and going a bit deeper on Cursor AI 4️⃣ Time to Code: ✅ Today is more of a job application, networking, and study day, but I did fix a few bugs 5️⃣ Daily Reset: ✅ 6️⃣ Support the Community: ✅ Useful Link: Why Front-End Developers Should Be Entrepeneurs https://blog.openreplay.com/six-tips--why-front-end-developers-should-be-entrepreneurs/ 7️⃣ Daily 49 link: https://www.skool.com/universityofcode/day-49-of-dev50-mon-18th-nov?p=e4e748e3
