What Would Make This Group Amazing?
I'll be honest...I have no idea how to build a successful community / get people motivated / add massive value, in a group like this. But, I really want to. Can you share what would make this group amazing for you? Any help would be greatly appreciated. πŸ™

First- lets have some topic channels- where we can share Tips/Tricks/Tools, a topic for questions, and maybe a topic for Wins. One of the most important things I have learned from helping other ppl run communities is Questions are everything! Its so nice to be able to post questions and get ideas and feedback. Helps everyone on their journey. Drop a poll every now and then to see where we (the community) are in our progress on our offer, book, business.... it will give you feedback to help us grow and make content that speaks to the group. People come for the information but stay for the friends. Mind you that is all becasue you asked.... I dont like to tell people what to do in their communities- they grow organically. But sometimes you need to do a little gardening to get it to really flourish. And I want to say THANK YOU becasue this is exactly what I am trying to do- build my business with a book funnel and a community (someday). I felt really lost trying to figure out how to work a book funnel- seems nobody talks about that- but I knew that is the right method for me.... and then I found you! Now I just need to get better at understanding my offer and niche- I just published my first book and I realize I need to refine to do this better for book 2! Wonderful journey! Book funnels are a bit more complex and require more time, but I really love this method.

@Brian Irwin $99 a month is a good place to be. Growth is slower, but you need to work on value. The critical thing is to build community engagement. People come for info but stay for friends. I like higher ticket communities as they attract really interested people, so you dont get as much churn, but you will grow slower.... but its worth it. You have lots of options to grow a paid community in that bracket. You are in a good price point. (When you get your courses established- then offer yearly at $600-800.... it will convert!) πŸ€‘
For those of you who want to grow a personal brand / audience / email list...what's your #1 struggle in doing so?
This is the only way I market my services and many of my clients want to do the same. I want to see what questions / struggles people have with getting started or getting traction.

I think the most challenging thing is really refining and not getting discouraged. I just published my first book, with a TON of value, and am finishing the free workbook that contains all the worksheets from the print book. The workbook is available as a download so I can collect emails and I made a waiting list for the community I eventually hope to build when there is enough proof of concept. But since it just published Amazon isnt sure where to put it, keywords and good, but its Q4 so I am drowned out in a sea of other people with BIG ad budgets. I work in web, so I built landing pages and automations for when people eventually find me.... but its a waiting game now. Trying to stay motivated by watching your videos, refining my offer, and getting ready to write a second book better targeted. πŸ™‚

@Brian Ellwood right now the paperback is on Amazon, and the workbook is linked to from the book sections so I can start collecting emails and customer data. I find myself as someone who loves to write and publish- and my profitable expertise is in helping people with systems/business. (15+ years in Public Media running online systems) My missing component is marketing. When I can build a small list I will do free book/magnets too. Right now, all I have is the knowledge in my head.... so I am really starting from square 1. My first book is a test of market viability. But after watching your video on offers- I think I need to rework & target for a better book two. πŸ™‚ End goal is to build a community where I can help people in group settings. I love building communities and watching people succeed.

Hi! I'm Cindy. From upstate New York. I am working on my first long form book. I started it with the idea to use it as a 'test' to see if people responded to it. I did a lot of research to make sure there would be a solid market, but I don't know if there will be conversion. The book is packed with crazy value and has a downloadable workbook that is massive in value. (I could sell the workbook alone - but using it as my magnet to get emails and build a client list.) I am close to publishing, but I want to refine the downloads so if I get sales immediately the materials are ready to go! :)
