Passed the exam today
Booking a date for the exam and then counting down the days, was really difficult for me to do. So, after the last group session on Thursday, I thought this would be a good time for me to test my knowledge. So yesterday I booked the exam for this afternoon and by the grace of the GOD and knowledge shared by everyone in this group and prayers of my family, I was able to successfully get through this exam. The journey was really challenging but I would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support. Special shoutout to @Josh Botz @Vincent Primiani @Clifford Jenkins @S M @M B @Sara M@Asad Anwer @Deepu Thomas

Struggling to register for the exam
I am struggling with booking for the exam. I have been preparing for three months (second time) There is a fear that I will lose the money and nothing is going to come out of it. Last two weeks have been stressful. How do ones overcome this fear?

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. The added frustration when things are not going smoothly definitely added increased anxiety for me. ISC2 has both an email address and a phone number that you may call for assistance. Do you have that information? Plan to take a day or two off, before you sit for your exam. Rest up, relax, eat well-balanced meals, hydrate with water. If you partake in alcohol or other mood altering substances, refrain from those the day before and until after the test so that you get a good nights sleep. The last thing I did was the morning of the exam, I showed up early, like 90 minutes early and skimmed through the CISSP Sunflower documentation. I hope this helps. My final suggestion, which this was the first time I took this mindset was to just remain calm and collect to the point that when I was taking the test it was almost like just chatting with a long term friend and we were discussing IT Security.

@Serhii Kocherhan @D M Also, if you have a library card, you can access LinkedIn Learning for free.
Resources?
Where can I start, and where to find resources for CISSP? I got my exam on January 2025, and still don't know how to learn 😐

Welcome to the group and you're in the correct spot. May I ask your background? Do you have any resources yet?
Chaos Monkey
I mentioned Chaos Monkey in today's study group as we were discussing fuzzing. This is not fuzzing exactly, but is similar to a stress-test in order to validate application resilience. Netflix deploys this in production, and it randomly kills services or entire VMs to emphasize to their engineers how critical resiliency is to them. Pretty amazing!

That’s almost how I’d QA software. Doing things that users might accidentally do to see what error might happen. I was not the developers favorite person.
