Something I've been working on in the background is my own GPT. My goal was to build my own camera assistant/tech based off of the best ones I've worked with. Although this is still a work in progress, I think it could turn into its own app and being a great resource to have on set and in the field. Combining camera manuals, real-world experience, and up-to-date insights to create a trusted resource. The personality is a a perfect mix of snarky, funny, and easy to work with. This GPT been a huge help for me this year working with the Sony Burano for the first time. I can instantly ask about recording frame rates, black shading, and even get a step by step guide for troubleshooting. Yes, all of this can be Googled, but this allows me to curate the information and make sure the advice/answers it gives is correct. *Voice Notes have been a great resource. I record my thoughts and notes after a day of filming related to the camera, transcribe it and upload to the GPT. Have you made any of your own GPTs? Does something like this interest you?

I'm a nerd for plugins. Probably spent more money on plugins than anything else. Any plugins that are a must have for your editing? When it comes to audio, It has to be FabFilter. Pro-Q and Pro-C is always part of my signal chain I used to be a fan of RX Denoise, but now with AI, I find it's easier to denoise with Descript or Adobe Enhance. Even the built in Denoiser in Audition is pretty solid nowadays As for video, Mister Horse has some really awesome transition packs and tools for Premiere Pro Their Animation Composer for After Effects is also kick ass!

I enjoy pretty much every part of video production. But for whatever reason editing always feels like work. I have one recurring client who records educational videos that I edit and add text and graphics too. I’m in the process of getting @Sven Immelmann to take on some of these monthly edits so I can focus more on this community. Through my network, I often get asked for more editing projects but since my schedule is a bit full and editing, isn’t my favorite either throw a huge price tag at it or let them know.
