Hey all, I'm Pat from Texas. Been playing three decades but nowhere near the level I want to be. I've been a fan of @Steve Stine for a while, and now I'm excited to be part of the GuitarZoom Academy. @Dan Denley is an awesome cat, very accommodating dude. I'm thankful they're both here to help me find the best curriculum to accelerate my learning. Looking forward to playing some blues and acid rock! Thanks for having me.

@Patrick Reynolds Welcome to Academy! We are stoked to have you. How's it going with Unlocking The Fretboard? Also, have you attended any live classes yet? LMK

Now accepting applications!
Hey, GuitarZoom Academy is accepting applications. šŸ‘ˆ The program gives you structure, accountability, access to professional instructors, and live Zoom classes multiple times a week. If you're serious about collapsing decades of learning into days this is fastest way. Period. Hereā€™s what GuitarZoom Academy is NOT: - This is NOT a course - This is NOT a subscription - This is NOT a membership - This is NOT a masterclass - This is NOT group coaching - This is NOT a mastermind - This is NOT a workshop - This is NOT a DVD - This is NOT a book - This is NOT an app Hereā€™s what GuitarZoom Academy is aboutā€¦ 1. Clarify and commit to your goal 2. Set milestones to track your progress 3. Professionally-guided courses 4. Live, Zoom classes with pro instructors weekly 5. 8-hours of open-door sessions weekly with an instructor. You attend as much or as little as you want. This is no substitute for working with a professional instructor. If you want to make progress faster than you ever have in your life, apply today. This will change your life. šŸ¤© Stay amazing! Music is collaborative by nature. The more you play with other, more-accomplished guitarists, the faster you make progress. The faster you learn. Trying it alone is hard, lonely, and frustrating. Often people get stuck and become "forever beginners." I recently talked to a gentleman who was 73 years old who joined Academy. He had played for over 50 years. He had been "playing around" with guitar his entire life. He told me his only regret was not joining much, much sooner. And we get older, we regret the things we did NOT do more than then things we did. So, you owe it to yourself to at least apply to Academy. It's free to see if you qualify. Don't let fear hold you back! Check out what Tanya had to say about her Academy experience.
Unstuck Yourself! Why Your Brain Is Holding You Back
If you want to ā€œunstuck yourselfā€ then book your discovery call now. šŸ‘ˆ Because you canā€™t keep doing the same things and expect different results. ā€œYou have to change, to change.ā€ Ever wonder why itā€™s so hard to break out of old habitsā€¦ even when you know itā€™s not helping you achieve your goals? Itā€™s because of your brainā€™s survival instinct. Change requires energy. Which your brain wants to conserve. (Thatā€™s why we avoid doing hard things, and gravitate towards the easy stuff.) Change means trying something new. And ā€œnewā€ involves risk. šŸ˜Ø And because your brain is wired to keep you safe, you get stuck doing whatā€™s easy and familiar. Even if it isnā€™t getting you closer to your goals. šŸ„… Thatā€™s why so many guitarists find themselves doing the same things over-and-over. And then wonder, ā€œWhy am I not making any real progress?ā€ Itā€™s not because you donā€™t want to change. Itā€™s your hidden survival-instinct in your brain that is actually stopping you! The good news? Once you know that trying something new is always a little ā€œscary,ā€ then you can ignore that voice in your head thatā€™s holding you back. Ready to unstuck yourself? Book your discovery call today šŸ‘ˆ Cheers! Dan Denley GuitarZoom Academy Advisor Guitar InstructorP.S. Everyday we help guitarists who are stuck, with no structure, no guidance, and no clear goals unstuck themselves. Will you be next?

If you want to dive deeper on WHY our brains resist change, here's a video I found that might be helpful. Remember, you have to "change to change." :)
