๐Ÿ‘‹ Hello from Tamar Stolz
My name is Tamar Stolz. I live in Chicago, IL and I just launched my own business working as a Product Strategy and UX consultant. I am on a mission to empower product and UX teams to align their strategies with business goals for impactful, measurable outcomes. I provide guidance, mentorship, and tailored frameworks for UX and product managers, supporting them through alignment challenges and empowering them to take on more strategic roles within their organizations. I also run workshops and create resources to facilitate better alignment across teams, especially those in mid-sized SaaS companies. Like many consultants, building visibility and forming new relationships with potential clients was initially a challenge. It took trial and error to find the right channels and messages that resonate with product managers and teams, but I've learned to embrace authenticity and show up in ways that are genuine, which has helped me build trust and grow my audience. Fun fact about me: I am a drummer and love music! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family- my husband and 2 delicious kids! Looking forward to connecting with you all!

This month's Product Bookclub is Inspired!
Hey friends, time to kick off our 2nd last Product Bookclub for the year. This time round we're going to read Inspired by Marty Cagan. If you've been following along this year you'll know this is the 3rd book from Marty we've read. This ones a little bit older, but I think it's good to revisit the concepts now that we've had a chance to check out Empower & Transformed. So if you wanna learn about how to make products that people love, hop onboard! We'll do a bookclub check in call every couple of weeks for the next 6 weeks! _________________________ Whatโ€™s Product Bookclub? _________________________ It's an online bookclub for the members of Product Synthesis - each round Iโ€™ll announce a new Product book that Iโ€™ll be reading, and anyone in the community is welcome to read (or listen) along with me! If youโ€™re like me, and love reading, but donโ€™t have enough people to discuss what youโ€™re learning, then thisโ€™ll be perfect for you! We'll run this round until the end of the month, and we'll do a check-in on the 12th & 26th of September, you'll find all the calls in the calendar. _________________________ Are you gonna take part? If so, let me know in the comments!

This month's Product Bookclub is Strategize
What's up everyone! Feels like it's been a while since I wrote one of these. Hope you all had a great summer and are raring to go for the last push for the year. It was great to re-read Good Strategy / Bad Strategy, it's a great book - but it was definitely a harder read than I remembered, but maybe that's just because I'd read it before? Would love to hear how you all found it below! This time round we'll be sticking to the Strategy theme, with Strategize - by Roman Pichler. I picked this up a few months back on the recommendation of a friend and have been keen to get to it, it's one of the few well rated books that actually calls itself a product strategy book, so I've been really curious! _________________________ Whatโ€™s Product Bookclub? _________________________ It's an online bookclub for the members of Product Synthesis - each round Iโ€™ll announce a new Product book that Iโ€™ll be reading, and anyone in the community is welcome to read (or listen) along with me! Some changes to bookclub
Hi all, I've been trying to sit myself down to finish the summary of Good Strategy / Bad Strategy for the last week, and I'm just not feeling it. There's something about the summaries that isn't quite clicking for me at the minute, and going by the view counts, and attendance of the summary sessions - I dont think it's quite clicking for all of you either. So I've decided to pause the summaries until I figure out how to do them in a more enjoyable, engaging and sustainable way. What does that mean for Bookclub? It's going to continue! I'll announce the next book on the 1st of September, and we'll go through it in just 4 weeks (it'll be a light one, dont worry). We'll do two check-ins on the 12th & 26th of September, and then I'll decide if the 4 week or 6 week cadence works best. As for what's next for this little community, I've some new things coming in the next couple of months, so stay tuned for more!

Getting new sources of income with my expertise besides clocking 40 hours.
Hi everyone, I'd like to have your advice. After the job market of the last year, I saw the need to not be reliant on one income anymore, especially when there's so many people fighting for the same opportunities. I was intrigued by this idea of gaining multiple streams of income, and especially making passive income besides investing in the stock market. But I'm wondering how to approach this. The first thing I'm thinking about is after my free mentoring, to go to paid mentoring or courses that I can do besides the hours. But I'm still mostly figuring this out. I was wondering if any of you have already tried this, and what your advice and learnings are.

Passive income is challenging, the key seems to be starting out with a bunch of free stuff - like free downloads, youtube videos, etc to build up your lists, and then figuring out how you can monetise once you've got enough attention. Take a newsletter for example, if you can get a decent sized subscriber base, you can then start doing sponsorships. But then, it's not really passive because you've gotta put quite a lot of work to get to the point where people will give you money.
