Can't give a discount but you still want to
Can't give a discount but you still want to be polite. When you get a message asking for a discount, reply 'Sure! I’ll give you the friends-and-family price… after you help me pack orders this weekend. See you at 6 a.m.

@Tom Carr Thank you for your message! I understand the importance of balancing good customer service with pricing policies. A lighthearted approach like this can sometimes be effective, but I find that a professional yet friendly response goes a long way in maintaining rapport with customers. I typically express appreciation for their interest and explain that prices reflect the quality and value of our work. This often helps convey respect for our pricing while keeping the conversation warm and positive.
Stuck for ideas, then be the judge!
Do you find yourself staring at the ceiling wondering what to sell, and you have run out of ideas, start by looking at things you need or would by as a present for someone, upon reviewing these products on Etsy, think how you would make them better, be the Judge, do this for about an hour or so then you mind will switch into creative mode, and ideas will start to go flow, I created one of my best selling products using this strategy. Look at the judges hammer in this GIF I made it better 😂

That's a brilliant approach! Looking at products from a buyer’s perspective and finding ways to improve them is a great strategy for sparking creativity. I love how you’ve turned a simple idea into a best-seller! Thanks for sharing this valuable tip!
Alot of people say their sales are down from
Alot of people say their sales are down from the last 18 months or so, this is mainly due to Etsy Ads, they want you to pay for the SEO, don't see this as a bad thing, adapt and over come, like all new expenses the cost must be past down to the customer, that's just good business sense, this is how I made it work for me. First of list all of your products on Etsy Ads Remember to turn off those products that are not in season. Make your sure your budget is affordable for the next 3 months. Over the next 3 months you are collecting data, don't focus on profits. Once you have found out what is selling turn off Etsy ads for the product's that have not been selling and adjusted the amount to just the products that have been selling, Then work out on average how much you are spending on Etsy Ads for the products that are selling over a 3 month period, then apply that to the price. Unfortunately you have invest a little bit to swim again. Etsys business model changed, and must go with the tide not swim against.

Thank you for the insightful advice. I agree that adapting to Etsy’s changes, including investing in ads and adjusting prices, is essential for continued success. Collecting data over the next few months and optimizing ad spend will help improve sales. Your approach provides a clear path forward.
