What’s your hottest take on the creator economy?
There is a widely accepted framework of how to grow on X. What to do, what not to do. Anyone have any hot takes that go against the traditionally accepted strategies?

Couldn’t agree more Brandon. Not necessarily a hot take but definitely something that isn’t talked about enough
Offering alternatives in sales call
Hey Guys im doing my first few discovery calls. Im doing Coding Mentoring for people who starting their way into the tech industry. Thing is i only want to work with people who are 100% comfortable with paying me. First thing i do right now is doing a test period, where i do it for free for a month ( 4 Meetings 60 minutes each + message me when there are problems in their project...). This way i get some experience in as a Mentor and they can decide if they want to do this or not. I will eventually transfer to getting paid from the beginning, once i gained more experience. Does this make sense? I kind of just need some affirmation here. Second question would be if you Guys talk about alternatives to your service. I feel like there is a lot of free stuff out there. Especially when learning to Code. But if i would talk about alternatives i would also kind of qualify them right? Cause if they don't want the freebies i can be sure they want my service right? Again tell me if im wrong in my thinking please. Eventually i want to charge a Base Fee of 75$ per 1:1 meeting. and a 200$ base fee for the time expenditure for the time to answer questions that come over text etc. Should i start low and scale the price up with experience or just start with the high one directly. I feel like imposter syndrom is striking here and i would rather start low. But then again i don't have 10 years of experience in the tech industry... appreciate if you guys could help Henry

I think starting off with providing your services for free is a great strategy! Allows you to offer your service without a guarantee, so there is less pressure on you, and lower expectations from your clients. But more importantly it allows you to hone your craft and potentially earn some free testimonials that you could turnaround into paid clients. Regarding providing alternatives, at the end of the day your goal as a coach should be providing as much value to the people you work with. And if that means recommending a new course to them that you think would bring them value, I would say go for it.
Embracing mistakes.
I was off to a productive day! And it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. This goes to show that you have to prove your existence by leaving your mark in the world. It could be something that you’re genuinely passionate about! Personally, I had constantly been struggling with living life inside my head before I ever set out to do anything. And that did nothing but waste amazing opportunities. It’s the reason I decided to try out what I like to call “factual experience”. What that basically means is that you learn from the mistakes you made based on experienced that happened. It has encouraged me to always do the best I can and learn from the things that didn’t work out. It can be a struggle, but you get what you work hard for. If you don’t accept your mistakes and take responsibility, you’ll remain where you are. This takes me to the next point which is embracing change. Change is necessary whether it’s good or bad. It can either be a choice you make or a choice made for you. The point of all this that your mistakes don’t define who you are. They’re part of the many steps you take to get where you want to be in life. Best of luck to everyone!
