Problems with Powder & Training in ICC
Hello everyone. Some questions. 1. I use hot peel film, the powder I use is Super Plus DTF Powder, from DTF Super Store, I don't know its microns, but for a few weeks now I've been getting powder on the film, which didn't happen before. I want to think it's because of the change in humidity, here we stopped using the air conditioning and started using the heat, obviously the humidity changed from 70% to 40%. Do you think that could be the case? What would you recommend? It's very annoying because when the client presses their DTF, there are powder marks on them. 2. Do any of you offer any kind of training for the best use of Cadlink and the creation of ICC with NIx. 3. @Jerald Jolito when do you consider that your MS DTF Printing Business Blueprint course is ready. Greetings to all. Thank you very much.

@Miguel de la Torre does your dryer have an exhaust or extractor? Thst can be one thing to check, if ur running it in a shaker the smoke can feed backwards if the top is put on and the glycerine in inks can condensate or create humidity. Also try buy other film and testing the film ... It could be that the film has a problem, maybe by a test roll from jerald and see how that performs for u.... Od say humidity and film but more humidity, also check the exhaust situation

Trial and error is a good way to learn, if it started when you installed the extraction, try removing it and putting it back how it previously was.. see if that makes a difference. Also try placing you hand at the exhaust intake and see if there is suction and how strong
Intro to Gregacy DTF Transfers
Hello everyone! This is Mylo with Gregacy DTF Transfers. We are a small shop in Conroe, Tx that primarily prints transfers and dabbles in competed tshirt sales. Our doors opened about 5 months ago, so we are still in our growth phase. Business is slowly trickling in more and more each month. We joined this page to give and receive advice from others within our business community. And to learn more about how to help our business grow. We run a Mimaki 300 and our prints are remarkable! Well, except compared to Jerald's. We bought identical transfers from several local shops and even a national one. We did a blind quality comparison test, both before and after pressing onto a shirt. Happy to say, we were only second to Merch Studio! His colors just have that extra pop! You really should buy test transfers from high quality printers like Merch Studio and some others to see where you stand within the industry. It can go a long way to helping you dial in your product!

I got the sample pack from jerald and i was very impressed...out of curiosity how many passes are you running on your machine and how did you dial in the colors/color profile. Also the mimaki is supposed to be an amazing machine to operate , but i would expect you would have a little less control over certain nitty gritty configurations

@Mylo Gregg good call on that one, the goal is to focus on the business, growth and making sales not maintenance headaches.
Configurations
Out of curiosity i wanted to know what kind of configurations are you guys running on your machines, film, powder, pass settings eclotion etc and how are they working out. Ill start. Double coated hot peal film High pigment chinese inks, lubricated Course white powder 6 pass Strong A eclotion (similar to a custom 90%) The film is great especially for in house jobs, color density is less than the cold peal films, eclotion helps use run longer print runs without fear of banding, 6 pass quality os a little grainy but gives us a quicker print speed. The inks i have been happy with so far.

Learning about members
Hi everyone, who here is already incorporating DTF into their business? How long have you been using it and any tips you can share? We’ve recently starting using it for orders when screen printing doesn’t make since due to quantity or lots of colors etc.

We have been screenprintint for 20+ years.... We got a commerical dtf machine about a year ago and use it daily now... I wouldn't say its a replacement but its definately the best tool to have in your arsenal as a printer...its definately a replacement for vinyl snd transfer papers though

From my experience i would recommend focusing on design, concept , and market/marketing and outsource your printing to a printer like jerald while you start...when you hit key numebrs and it makes sence for you to get into production the. Look at that ..but dont go it to begin with...do get a heatpress and blanks though
