Windows:
Choosing windows can be a daunting task; with the myriad of colors, styles, and sizes. Here are a few things to think through to help make your decision. - Light: How much light do you want to let into the home, what areas of the home are naturally dark and could use an influx of sunshine! - Cost: As a rule, larger windows are more costly due to the added material, but smaller windows with more complex geometry can be purchased. (for a home always ensure your windows are double paned for added strength and insulation) - Shape/Size: Very large or exotic shaped windows, can add character and ambiance to your home, although this does come at a greater cost initially, and greater cost time wise when adding trim and such.

Powering Your Tiny Home:
- There are a myriad of common and exotic ways to heat/cool & power your Tiny Home; solar, wind, NG, LP gas, Grid, Hydrogen, wood fire, etc.Ā  We prefer sticking with readily available and easily modifiable power sources; Solar, propane, and wood Fire. - Solar: No matter your location (above ground) there will be some UV rays reaching your panels; translating into power for your home and charge for your batteries. It is becoming far more prevalent and easier to install on your home or trailer. Most systems can be ā€œstackedā€ or ā€œdaisy chainedā€; allowing for minimal initial investment. But still allowing for growth of your system down the road if needed, adding batteries or extra panels. - Propane: Also know as LP gas, this is can be an efficient way to run your large appliances; refrigerator, stove/range, heater, washer dryer, & on demand water heater. For these specific appliances, where producing heat is the goal, propane (or NG) is the most efficient souce.Ā  - Wood Stove: For a tiny home, wood heat will provide comfort and is definitely the most affordable option for heating your home. Comment what Type of Heat source you prefer!!!

What Makes a Tiny Houseā€¦A Tiny House
- Tiny house areaĀ  unique form of housing that combines the mobile aspects of an RV with the structure and home like feeling of a conventional stick built home. - Where our factory is located, Oregon, a tiny home is classified as a structure that manufactured at a facility, transported on a trailer, and is under 400 sqft. For all structures over 400 sqft there is a separate Golden Seal; under the state of Oregon.Ā  - Tiny homes are built nearly Identically to a stick built home; with a few exceptions. Extra care is needed when applying hurricane straps and strong ties. Each wall must be secured to the trailer with a 1/2 ā€œ bolt @ every 48ā€. In addition, placement of the axels and tires should be planned for under the kitchen counter and under the stairs to the loft. Weight also is of greater concern when selecting your building material.Ā

Oregon is significantly better to build in than Washington; build to the national standard and youā€™ll be fine
