What Makes a Tiny House…A Tiny House
- Tiny house area unique form of housing that combines the mobile aspects of an RV with the structure and home like feeling of a conventional stick built home.
- Where our factory is located, Oregon, a tiny home is classified as a structure that manufactured at a facility, transported on a trailer, and is under 400 sqft. For all structures over 400 sqft there is a separate Golden Seal; under the state of Oregon.
- Tiny homes are built nearly Identically to a stick built home; with a few exceptions. Extra care is needed when applying hurricane straps and strong ties. Each wall must be secured to the trailer with a 1/2 “ bolt @ every 48”. In addition, placement of the axels and tires should be planned for under the kitchen counter and under the stairs to the loft. Weight also is of greater concern when selecting your building material.
