Great post! Don't forget to research the Local Living Wage in your area. This is the amount of money a person NEEDS to earn to just survive in your area. In my own city of Edmonton the living wage is $22 Canadian per hour. If you're paying anyone in your organization less than this then you're paying poverty wages.
