Regulation talk
Hey, Alex! Glad to see you're talking about TCPA regulations. I get the feeling that agents are not being educated and will eventually run into big problems. I appreciate the content you're putting out. Keep it up!

Specific example: Call center outside of US makes cold calls to US numbers. They get consent on the call to transfer. No DNC scrubbing. No prior consent. They're claiming that the live consent will protect the agent, but my thinking is that the initial call is not compliant, so the agent is still liable. But everyone is telling me I'm wrong so would love to learn more. Thanks!

Yeah, I've been trying to go through this. So much value here. Would love to hear what everyone else is working on learning. Next thing I have to do is my A2P process. Haven't started yet because I know it's important to get right and I wanna make sure I am prepared.

Gold! So much value here. But I had to stop halfway to comment real quick. I completely agree with David that an agent needs to learn the fundamentals of how to make a call before using AI. You don't buy a self-driving car if you don't know how to drive first. However, I would not call AI a crutch anymore than I would consider the highway to be a crutch for a cross country road trip. The key is to learn to navigate the back streets before you embark on the long distance journey. Then you can really go anywhere.

Woo, nailed it! And yeah, I'll send David referrals all day if that's what he's looking for. Anything to keep him off Instagram, apparently. But, I'm curious... he's got me thinking about this question of new agents and texting... I wonder the impact it would have to fully automate everything but the call for the new agent. They don't touch it, just let it run in the background... I'll have to think about that. Interesting conversation, loved every minute!
Let's connect!
Hey folks. Happy to be here. I mentioned this briefly in my intro, but I am trying to develop out some resources for new agents. I'm no sales pro or anything like that. I couldn't manage a following or lead a community, there are plenty of people doing that good work already. But I would love to use some of my support and training skills to help folks succeed. I get bored just working on my own business, my passion is really in community building and helping people grow. So, I would love to hear what folks have to share. What is one thing you wish you had known before you began working in insurance? And, what is one thing you wish you could easily master in your business today? Let's get the conversation going and see what we can learn from each other! Feel free to reach out, always glad to make new connections.

Hey, everybody! Thanks for the welcome. I'm a tech support leader turned final expense telesales agent. Currently, I'm trying to design resources to support new agents as they enter the field. My current work is focused on developing a handbook that I would use to train new agents if I ever build my own agency. Would love to connect with anyone who has ideas or feedback on what might help support the success of the community! Hmm, I have a degree in web dev, but I know nothing about fun gifs, haha. Let's see if I can do this...
