Problem with IK Multimedia
Has anyone had a problem with IK Multimedia'plugins, more so authorizing them? I have a few IK Multimedia from other places like the give aways here, or plugin alliance and so on. We I decided to buy IK Multimedia's Traxs 6 bundle. 60 plugins for $299. Not they are loaded but I cannot get them authorized and IK Multimedia is dragging their heals and the other ones that I owned for awhile have shut down and will not work because of their authorizing platform. Ugh.

IK Multimedia's Product Manager is, let's call it, "less than stellar." Here's what I did to download, install, and authorize my products. 1. Go to the IK Multimedia Website and log in. 2. Go to the User Area / My Products 3. For each product you want to install, click the Past Releases tab below the product and you will find the installation file for the current release of that product. 4. If there are additional sounds for the product download those too. 5. Install the products. Be sure to store the downloaded files in a separate location (preferably a separate hard drive) for back up. 6. The products that show up in the Product Manager should automatically activate. (They did for me). If they do not, use the Authorization Manager (which can be downloaded from the website if it did not install automatically with the product). 7. Other legacy products, like SampleTank 3, you will have to use the Authorization Manager to authorize it, which should have installed with the product. 8. Open the Authorization Manager to authorize the product (not the same as the Product Manager). 9. If it says you do not have an internet connection (the program is notorious for doing this) use the Offline Activation and follow the instructions. Hope this helps. I literally spent 3 days installing all my IK products (I had a lot to install).

FREE STORAGE/ FILE SHARING OPTIONS
What are you using for free storage and file sharing for your music? This question gets bounced around every once in a while and after a while, it’s time again! Dropbox is no longer free, for example. Please share thoughts, opinions, experiences on what else is out there for us!

Even though I use paid storage for file transfer, I still backup on hard drive. I also keep backups of my backups. You just never know when one of your storage devices is going to crash. And there goes everything on it.

Curious Question...
I'm just curious. Does anyone else watch Fix-the-Mix to see how other artists arrange their music? Have any of you noticed the various ways different artists arrange various things? For example, sometimes you see tracks with the effects baked in and sometimes you see a dry track with an accompanying effects track. And sometimes you'll see both in the same mix. I like seeing the different ways people arrange things.
