Custom fields on Contacts or Households
I know in Redtail because it doesn't have households, best practice is to put custom fields on the head of household. For systems like Wealthbox and Advyzon that have households and contacts, what's best practice for where to put the custom fields? Things like: - Alma Mater (contact) - Coffee Preference (contact) - Effective Tax Bracket (household?) - Favorite NBA, NFL, MLB Team (contact) - Hometown (contact) - IRA Contribution Max Out (contact) - Marginal Tax Bracket (household?) - Military Service Branch - Pets names For simplicity's sake, should they all go on contacts, or should some go on household as appropriate?

@Russ Thornton That makes sense - if the CF applies to the individual, put it on the contact level. If it applies to the household... etc.
The Ultimate Guide to 10X Delegation
I highly recommend this Tim Ferris podcast about productivity and delegation! If you're in to 3hr podcasts. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/694-sam-corcos-co-founder-of-levels-the-ultimate/id863897795?i=1000628619791

@Natalie Bergsma For sure, the 10x book talks about how 10x goals can stress you out if you do them in the wrong way. Quotes are often true / false depending on your perspective. :) I suppose you can also set a goal to lower your expectations - that would be a worthy goal for some of us that think "more" is the only way.

Phone + SMS Integration with Weatlhbox
In case you missed it, check out this recently recorded Wealthbox webinar featuring fellow RIA Operators member @Dustin Belliston and his company CurrentClient. In this webinar, Dustin provides a quick walkthrough of CurrentClient's phone, SMS, video, & survey capabilities and how it integrates nicely with Wealthbox. CurrentClient also integrates with Redtail. Check it out here: https://www.wealthbox.com/webinars/how-advisors-use-currentclient-wealthbox-to-engage-and-nurture-clients/

What's the #1 Feature You Want?
If you could wave a magic wand and add one feature to Redtail, what would it be?

Tracking Users
@Joe Moss Any ideas for keeping track of 1) tech tools in use and 2) users/admins for each tool? Currently using a spreadsheet, but it feels like there has to be a better way...

I don't think a spreadsheet is a bad way to track this, here's a basic table idea for this: https://chat.openai.com/share/2d9dda27-d2c3-4984-8346-267fe48f5034 And then you can filter by technology name to see all the users for each one. Here's what I did for Simplicity Ops (doesn't include the users per tool info): https://www.skool.com/ria-os/project-management-sop-organization?p=a0646e27 You could also: - put it in the Important Information section of your company contact in the CRM - save it in the "onboarding" folder for new employees - save logins in a password program like Roboform / Lastpass - etc.
