Why did you make the switch?
@John Casto I'm writing to express my sincere gratitude for your invaluable contributions to the affiliate marketing community. As a long-time admirer of your work, I've been following your YouTube channel and implementing your advice to great success. Your tips, particularly those on avoiding Facebook ad bans, have been instrumental in my journey. I've attended Affiliate World four times, but unfortunately, I've never had the opportunity to meet you in person and thank you for your guidance. Initially, I focused on affiliate marketing, primarily with nutra offers. However, after discovering your content, I transitioned to ecommerce and have achieved significant success in that area. I'm curious about your decision to shift from e-commerce to pay-per-call. What attracted you to this model, and what opportunities do you see there? Would you recommend that I explore this avenue as well? Thank you again for everything you share with the community. I hope to have the chance to meet you at a future Affiliate World event.

@John Casto will no doubt have a better answer, just thought I'd chime in. I don't think there's any opportunity that's better/worse it just depends on what you want to do and how fast you want to get there. I was a copywriter for a couple of bigger ecom brands and after a year of writing an ungodly number of advertorials and creatives I thought, I can do this myself... And then I learned about: net profit (🤣), payment processing hell, returns, ip theft, nonstop dmca letters, exit multiples, etc. Nothing wrong with any of that, every vertical has it's problems to solve. Ecom is great, dropshipping even still works; I know a few people running direct response VSLs -> advertorial -> problem-solving product for 30+ demo that are printing. And compared to old-school solo affiliate rip-and-run, it makes way more sense. I was just looking for a different model and saw pay per call as a win-win-win where everyone can be happy, you can scale to the moon without being B2C and valuation multiples seem healthy. And honestly, while I'm super new to this, the people we associate with are on a different level - many good folks in this space.
