Let's Crush Google Together!
I know that everyone here is crushing it with meta ads in lead gen but maybe it's time to have a look in Google ads :) Google is officially cutting Video Action Campaigns. Here's everything you need to know: Google's officially deprecating Video Action Campaigns into Demand Gen. campaigns. It's happening in Q2 2025. To start, what were Video Action Campaigns? ↳ Skippable ads on YouTube ↳ Focused on driving conversions ↳ Limited to video format ↳ Primarily on YouTube Here's the difference with Demand Generation Campaigns: 1. Multi-platform reach (YouTube, Discover, Gmail) and you can even use Google’s Display network if you toggle the setting. 2. Multi-format ads (video AND images) This one is huge. Before you were limited to just video. Now you can extend this to product feed campaigns, images and video. 3. Smarter targeting Not only do you have access to lookalike segments, but you can also choose which formats you want your ads to show up as. You didn’t have this with Video Action Campaigns. 3 Reasons Why This Change Could Be Great: 1. Simplification & Unification. Fewer campaigns to manage. Less complexity, more results. 2. Advanced Targeting. Lookalike segments weren't available for VAC. 3. Simplified Testing Ad group level learning could revolutionize your A/B tests. Our Prediction: Remember when people didn’t like Performance Max? People clung to Google Smart Shopping. Now, Performance Max is a major player in every eCommerce account within the industry. We're predicting the same for Demand Gen. It might feel new and scary now. But soon, it could be your secret weapon. Here's what we're telling all the brands we're working with: 1. Start experimenting with Demand Gen now 2. Use both video and image assets 3. Watch for the migration tool in early 2025 I hope this article helps you a little bit! #Yassine

Why did you make the switch?
@John Casto I'm writing to express my sincere gratitude for your invaluable contributions to the affiliate marketing community. As a long-time admirer of your work, I've been following your YouTube channel and implementing your advice to great success. Your tips, particularly those on avoiding Facebook ad bans, have been instrumental in my journey. I've attended Affiliate World four times, but unfortunately, I've never had the opportunity to meet you in person and thank you for your guidance. Initially, I focused on affiliate marketing, primarily with nutra offers. However, after discovering your content, I transitioned to ecommerce and have achieved significant success in that area. I'm curious about your decision to shift from e-commerce to pay-per-call. What attracted you to this model, and what opportunities do you see there? Would you recommend that I explore this avenue as well? Thank you again for everything you share with the community. I hope to have the chance to meet you at a future Affiliate World event.

@John Casto Thank you so much for your insightful response. I appreciate you taking the time to share your valuable experiences and perspectives. Your insights into the differences between ecommerce and pay-per-call have been incredibly helpful. I'm particularly interested in learning more about the relationship-building aspects of pay-per-call and how it compares to ecommerce. As you mentioned, the affiliate marketing landscape has evolved significantly, with events like Affiliate World becoming increasingly crowded and sometimes less focused on genuine opportunities also doen't fit my value with all new scammers (blanks offers, casino...). Given your expertise, I'd be grateful if you could recommend any alternative events or conferences that you believe offer more value and authenticity for affiliate marketers. Thank you again for your guidance.

@J Johns I appreciate your candid assessment of the challenges and opportunities within the ecommerce space. It's clear that while there are potential rewards, it's not without its complexities. Your experience transitioning from copywriting to running your own ecom business is inspiring. I'm curious to know more about the specific factors that influenced your decision to switch to pay-per-call. What attracted you to this model, and how did you navigate the learning curve? Additionally, I'd be interested in hearing more about the "win-win-win" aspect of pay-per-call that you mentioned. How do you believe it benefits all parties involved? "Additionally, if you're facing challenges with specific aspects, such as payment gateways, I'd be happy to assist you." Thank you for sharing your valuable insights.
