Simple musing - are there more righthanded or lefthanded journalers?
I am lefthanded and have been really surprised at the amount of social media content in which I have noticed that the person creating the journal is also lefthanded, us being in the minority and all. Is it just a strange co-incidence that I have ended up watching/reading people who are left handed in this community? Just thought I'd ask if anyone else has noticed this or whether you care to share your own 'handedness'?

Left hander here - I’ve not noticed as much but I am going to look for it more out of curiosity. I would not be surprised, because right-brain dominance maybe gives us more of a feeling of freedom for open expression of various types.

@Dawn Kenny I circumvent ink smearing problems by being an under-writer :) I am very picky about the feel of the pen and ink delivery, though. Do you have any go-to pens, leftie-friendly or otherwise?
Therapy + Journaling
I've been in therapy for a few months now and just started to really get to some difficult topics. For me, that's recently looked like setting boundaries and not doing everything for everyone else all the time trying to "help." Since my last session I've journaled every day as I learn to stop overextending myself in nearly every relationship. It's freeing, and exhausting. I'm so glad I have journaling to go to whenever I need to relax & get out of my head. Was wondering if anyone else has a similar experience or writing / journaling activities that have helped you along the way 🌱

Journaling has been key in helping me process difficult emotions, connect with my values, and sort out tentative action plans for how I want to handle certain difficult situations. It helps me go much deeper than what I can do just in my own mind. I am currently in an intensive outpatient therapy program with group and individual components, and I take notes almost as if I were in a college class. Then I go back, reflect, and work out how I want to apply what I am learning. When I am done with the IOP I am going to continue to journal and be structured about I handle each difficult issue in my life. It’s tremendously empowering. And I agree, good for you that you’re both doing therapy and journaling your journey!
Health journal/planner
Hi! Does anyone use a STM for health? I have a new book laying around and yet I can't start, scared to ruin it. I have recently started training with a coach and I would love to keep track of everything. But I am kinda in doubt to just integrate it in my generale journal VS starting a real journey-journal. Does that even make sense 🤭

Since I have numerous health issues to track, I keep a logbook of all my appointments with details about what we discuss. I use the bujo method and transfer action items to my planner. The logbook makes it easy to refer back to things and review the last appointment just before the next one so things don’t fall through the cracks and I can see progress (or lack thereof :) )
Any tea lovers here?
I'm a big fan of tea and as an American, I think it doesn't get enough love. Anyone drink it? If so, what's in your cup?

Great question! I get a lot of teas from adagio.com. I love Darjeeling, but my latest favorite is hazelnut black tea. At night I love a good decaf Earl Grey.

Hello, I’m Julia from Arizona. I love playing the drums and making jewelry. I keep a few journals including commonplace books and a mental health journal, and use a Hobonichi Cousin Avec daily. Though I adore fountain pens, I often use Uniball Signo .38 gel pens in a few favorite colors, they go great in all my journals and planner, and I just love how they feel when I write.
