Primary bedroom measurement question
Hi, everyone! I'm picking out some bedroom furniture and have a question about whether clearance is needed. The wall where I'm going to put my king-size bed is 13 feet, so 156 inches. The bedframe will take up 86 of those inches, leaving 70 inches for nightstands. The nightstands I'm interested in are 34 inches wide each, so 68 inches total. This leaves only 2 inches of wiggle room, so the nightstands could potentially touch the baseboards on one side and the bedframe on the other side. Is that okay? Or should I choose more narrow nightstands? Thank you!

I think it's ok as long as it's not snug and you have a bit of clearance.

I am only giving personal preference on furniture, we do not include it in our scope as we are cabinet nerds and only focus on hard surfaces that get installed :-) Sorry if I can't be of more help on this one!!
Tall Pantrys
What would be your choice between an 18" wide or 24" wide tall pantry? I like that an 18" wide is 1 door and takes up less potential counter space but does it get too tight if using rollouts. Any advice on this? Also curious if I put a tall pantry and refridgerator together at the end of a run do I put the pantry next to the countertop or the refridgerator next to the countertop?

Hi Phil, 18" still works great as a single unit pantry with roll outs. 15" starts getting too small. Depending on the cabinet line you could get a 24" unit with a single door for the width. 24" is the cutoff so I know with Bellmont we can make that choice and it's a 0$ modification. Also, if you are using a lot of standard 3" sizes, with a pantry sitting next to a traditional 36" fridge, using a 18" may look nicer because it's perfectly half of the Refer section but this is personal preference as some people may want to go for the extra 6" in space. Does this help?

Drawer Pull Length
What is your formula for drawer pulls? Length should be 1/3 drawer width? All pulls the same length? I have a mix of drawers (33", 30" 24", 17", 15").

Hi Dale! Great question. I prefer pulls especially on all the drawers just as a general preference. Then depending on how many larger drawers and smaller drawers / doors i have I go through and pick 2-3 different sizes to match up with certain cabinet sizes. I do not follow a standard guideline like 1/3 width of the drawer should be pull size. I think it all depends on the pulls and the look I am going for. Hope this helps!!

@Dale Louie I don't think so. 8" for a pull is one of the larger sizes. You could go a bit bigger but it's not necessary.
