Hey everyone, I am hoping to start a research project, but I have never done a real in depth project before. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in working together? Hey everyone! I’m from a very small school that has almost no science community. In fact our science classes don’t even do labs because they make the teachers pay for the materials. I am very interested in starting a science club at my school. Some of my ideas are: Fundraising to have labs for class possibly compete Contact colleges/research facilities for shadow/tour opportunities (I am affiliated with a research facility that I know will say yes) Possibly do coastal restoration/cleanups partnered with the environmental club Does anyone have any activity suggestions? Also are there any comps we could do? I know of Olympiads, but I’m not sure we would have enough students willing to make that commitment. Should I include a studying component if people want?

I am a rising sophomore interested in biology and environmental science. I have very little support from my school because I live in a very small town. We don’t have any sort of science clubs and barely have basic science classes. Does anyone have any recommendations for competitions or programs I could do in the future?
