Quick Intro
What's good everyone! My name is Cameron (Cam). I manage an artist named 49DMAN (@49DMAN on all social & streaming Platforms https://hoo.be/49dman). We're from Cleveland, Ohio, but I'll be relocating to Los Angeles in a couple of weeks. In addition to managing, I'm a recent law school grad and I'll be taking the February California Bar Exam - entering my career in entertainment law upon passing. I'm here to build my management toolbox and provide value to this incredible community. Please let me know how I can help!

Welcome, family. Congrats on your current success and everything that's bound to pop off for the two of you in the future.
Introducing Me
Wassup everybody! My name is Messiah, I go by the name “MjZoo”. I am a 20 year old hip-hop artist from Lehigh Valley, Pa, which is about an hour north of Philly. I’ve wanted to be a “rockstar” since before I can remember, & pursuing it now is a dream come true within itself honestly. I want to continue learn, grow, & connect in this industry. I’m excited for this journey 🙌🏾

Older Artists
In today's industry is there still an "age limit" to when you should stop trying to be an artist? Or is it truly unlimited?

Some of my favorite artists are either in their late 40s or they're almost mid 50ish. Haven't found too many young artists who are able to outrap my faves. I still enjoy discovering new music from newer acts, but nothing compares to tunes from seasoned vets imo

@Jordan Hopkins Agreed. Great music is timeless
College Radio PDF
A friend of mine has had some success with breaking artists on the college radio in the past. He mentioned that acts like Mims and Bonecrusher garnering substantial buzzes on the college radio scene. Since college radio isn't controlled by the payola system that governs most terrestrial radio and Top 40 stations, the independents have a better shot at pushing their singles on these stations. I've included a Free Download of an updated College Radio PDF for anybody who wants it. The game is to be uploaded and shared with the homies

@Lorenzo Muniz Why would you not use both, fam? Song trust collects mechanical royalties (sync placements and the likes). Sound Exchange collects internet radio, satellite radio and Pandora royalties. BMI collects public performance, club spins and BDS radio spins.
