NWT but really thrifted
Ok, you pick up clothing at thrift that is clearly new with tags. You wouldn't remove the tags to wash it, but you have no way to make sure it hasn't picked up pet smell, cigarette smell, or dirty people smell in it's journey from manufacturer to you. To avoid any returns or bad feedback, how do you treat the clothing or what disclaimer would you use?

@Randall Austin well, I see people going through pretty big volumes. I have to assume that some people don't wash. I am trying to do everything right and treat people as I would want to be treated. I also find underwear in the bins, so I assume everything is dirty until proven otherwise.

I mean, I have 100% positive since Jan 2000. It doesn't mean anything. Someone gave my store a negative review because new shoes from Nike were too tight. Some people will never be happy.

So I need some advice. I listed 4 pairs of jeans yesterday, between 17 and 22 based on what I thought comps were. Like new quality, all sold within 24 hours. I am probably undercutting the market; how do we determine fair value? For reference, I have worn wrangler cargo for 30+ years, so I may as well be talking about dresses here. I have no basis for comparison other than "feels like thick material".

@Joann Defelici yea, I have already determined the problem with hive mind is that over 85% of answers will be incorrect or unusable.

I have determined from this thread that I should price up and watch activity. I can start incrementing down over time (app suggestions welcome) if I get no action on the listings. If I waited for the 100x scores, I think I would still be waiting instead of shipping out every day. I won't turn down $200 an hour, but millions are made in the mundane while I wait.

Interesting that the app doesn't support images here. Set of bedsheets I got from a bin store, still new in box. $8 to $83 sold in a day...guess I was too cheap. I just like that I broke even on the days purchases within 24 hours.

I own 2 good pairs of shoes. I buy and sell hundreds and hundreds. I don't even know how we got to this point.
