Yes or no ❓Black Friday Art sale?
My husband Drew hates when I make him do a sale on his art prints! 😅 But…. Last year we made 50%of our holiday art sales during Black Friday sale weekend! We offered 20% off everything at www.drewbrophyart.com and we advertised it through email, Instagram and facebook. It worked so well we are doing it again this year. This time, he’s not complaining about it as much. 😂 But he’s making us change how we do it. We did a social media post and sent an email every day, putting something different on sale on different days. It was a little complicated for us, so this year we are going to simplify it. I’ll share the details after we have it all figured out…. ❓How about you? Do you plan on doing a sale at all during the holidays? Or do you not like that idea? 👇🏽 I’d love your thoughts on it!

I have offered 20% off prints for the last few years at least. It’s been my busiest time of year during those years. But it’s also been over the last few years that I started gaining a lot more followers on IG. It also generally seems harder to get salesy posts seen on social media these days, especially FB. I also send it out to my email list of course.

Create Your 3-Sentence Elevator Pitch - Summarize your art introduction from day 27 to 3 clear sentences that describe your art and who it is for. - Example: “I create sculpture like artworks that captures the feeling of abundance and living a life of your dreams, perfect for people who believe in the law of attraction.” - You can then use this to introduce your art in live when people ask you what you do or even send it to people. It’s much more interesting than just “I am an artist” :D  Bonus Action: Send Your Pitch to one person and include a link so they can see your art (could be per Email, whatsapp, facebook, instagram etc) Share in the Comments: - What are 3 good things that came out of this challenge for your personal growth? - What is 1 thing you now know you need to work on? - Share with us your elevator pitch too Well done guys! Three good things: I got more organized with my CRM and collectors contact list. I was more motivated to reach out to people and follow up rather than put it off or wait for them to follow up. I got more comfortable doing that. I still could work on finding my audience and connecting with them, in person and online. Elevator pitch: I paint realistic landscapes distorted by objects or patterns that appear clear, as if made of water or invisible energies. These distortions imply a sense of mystery and that there is something more to life beyond our perception.

Day 23 - 30 Day Challenge "Sell More Art!" 🎨
Day 23: Keep Pushing! Today is all about turning “maybe” into “yes.” Focus on closing sales and following up with interested buyers. If you don't have any people that are a maybe and could move to a yes, don't worry just keep reaching out to new people. ​​Today’s Focus: 1. Ask for a Commitment Reach out to anyone unsure. Offer to hold the piece for them or ask for a deposit. 2. Create Urgency Send 3-5 messages to remind people about limited availability or special deals. A little push can help them decide. 3. Follow Up with Hot Leads (people that showed interest or people you already build a relationship with) Focus on people who are close to buying. Keep it simple, ask if they’re ready to purchase. Share in the Comments: - How many people did you ask for a commitment today? - Did you get a “yes” or deposit? - How did your follow-ups go? - Or did you just reach out to new people? Let’s turn those “maybes” into “yes” today! 💸🎨

I didn't really have anybody to ask to commit today, but I sent about 20 emails to people who left reviews on my website to thank them and offer them a little discount. Also had a few comments/messages to reply to.

How Uncomfortable has the 30 day Challenge been?
For me, I had to push past some of my comfort levels, making myself reach out to more people (buyers) than I normally do! But it was great, because, I hit my goal of selling 3 paintings. I also have a few people interested in art, and I do think I'll sell a few more pieces over the next few weeks, thanks to all the emails, messages and calls I made. And like I said to one of our members here, "we are only growing when we get OUT of our comfort zone!" How about you? Were you glad to be encouraged to grow (and be a little uncomfortable?)!

Yes, it pushed me a little more than I'm usually comfortable with, which is good. It motivated me to reach out and follow up where I otherwise would have kept it on the back burner, or maybe never would have done some things like send cards to past collectors. I guess I have done that but its been years, and now I'm more organized with my CRM and collectors contact list. I think to really push myself, as far as reaching out to people, I might need more personalized, one-on-one advice. Another thing I've kept on the back burner.

Day 29: Push for the Finish Line: Double Down on Outreach We’re almost at the end! With just a couple of days left, today is all about maximizing your outreach. Let’s make a strong push by reaching out to more people and increasing your chances of closing those sales. Consistency is the name of the game! Today’s Focus: 1. Send 10-15 New Messages - It’s time to step it up! Reach out to 10-15 potential buyers, past collectors, or anyone who has shown interest 2. Follow Up with a Friendly Reminder - If someone showed interest but hasn’t followed through, send them a warm, friendly reminder. It’s a great way to gently encourage action without being pushy. 3. Highlight Any Special Offers  - If you have ongoing offers or limited pieces, let them know (for me it’s the new series “Symphony of Hope”) - Create excitement without pressure by highlighting why now is a great time to buy. For example I will increase the price of each of the paintings once I’ve sold 4 - that creates urgency (just an idea to play with) NOTE: We'll use the draft about your art tomorrow. Share in the Comments: - How many messages did you send today? - Any new leads or sales? You’re so close to the finish line! I also have essentially run out of new people to contact or follow-ups that I should do right now. I still had a busy day though, packing up a few prints and communicating with people who recently ordered. There were some more comments and questions from yesterday's IG post that I replied to, a couple that showed interest. I also continued communicating with a small museum in Texas about an upcoming show, and all sorts of other random tasks involved with running an art business, except actually painting!😁
