SABOTAGED (Not My Fault). Go Figure
Hi folks. Just checking in. I’ve been doing really good except for today (not my fault). Kinda annoyed and not happy with my friend Richard S. I’ve been really going great. No. Sugar no flour and today. He put teaspoon of natural sugar in my coffee and I drink it black. I didn’t pick up on it till I seen the sugar at the bottom granules and I was pretty bummed out. So my question is has anyone had a similar situation happen to them ? And. B have you had anyone try to give you sugar and flour when clearly you don’t want it and they keep pushing you ! I’d love to hear your comments and experiences with difficult Family members. Or Coworkers. Thanks for listening. I hopped back on wagon and had a really great dinner no sugar. No flour. Happy Trails. Everyone David :)

First off, CONGRATULATIONS on the NSNF and hopping back on the wagon! And, yep, we call them Sugar Pushers. Unfortunately, this is a common practice. It seems to be part of the Sugar Freedom Journey. Some people really do equate sugar with love and think that your missing out. They mean well. On the other hand, I think some people just get jealous or competitve? It's called Crab Mentality. If one crab starts to climb out of the pot to freedom, the others pull them back in. Last, I also agree, that it's not your fault and if you count days, just keep right on counting. You really did and are doing great. Hang in there David, friends will adjust, and if they don't, it might be time to find new friends. I did. That's why I am here.

It truly fills my heart with joy, David, to hear of your progress. The process of recovery is real work but I know that you have done hard things and I know that you can continue on this journey ARMY STRONG! You've got this, David. Hooah!!
Entering my third month
You know what? This is really feeling right with me. I'm eating better, sleeping better, feeling better and taking other positive steps toward my health (like exercise!)

What a beautiful testimony, Mary! It's not about what we are giving up, it's about what we are gaining. Congratulations on all those wins!

Amazing insight, Mary! I celebrate your WIN with you! Woohoo!!
Grocery shopping
Went to the grocery store and shopped the perimeter! Felt so good to get out of there with foods I am choosing not to eat!

I hear you, Kelly, loud and clear! I purposefully stay out of grocery stores on the weekends. I have a life-long trigger to "relax" with sugar on weekends. I don't need to test my "will power" by having to make decisions to decline that deeply ingrained habit. It certainly feels FABULOUS to stand our ground and choose life giving foods! WooHoo!!

@Patrice Garrido It's because we are used to auto-correct and it is not turned on in this community. I am shocked by how many typos I have been having. I now have to type slower and I have to look up the spelling of words! LOL!!

@June Brock Thank you, June for your compassion. I was sharing in a meeting today that Joel passed away almost 8 months ago and that I felt shame that I was missing him so much. I understand that God knew that before my son was born, that He would call him home at age 34. I accept this with my mind, but my heart is longing for a hug from my son. Additionally, I am doing my best to seek financial independence in an honorable way. I sure wish that I could read your "book" to help me ligth the path.

@June Brock Maybe it's time to get back to writing your manuscript? It could strengthen your SugarFreedom Journey!

How would you describe Nurse Minnie Mouse and what was Graduation Day like? It must have been AMAZING!

@June Brock I can only image how wonderful you must have felt. I extend my congratualations to such a memorable event and accomplishment. My son, Joel, was born while my husband and I lived on the University of Pennsylvania Campus. There was a tiny public library that had a video with Jane Goodall. My son loved watching the chimpanzees in it. We would go to the zoo every week so that he could watch the gibbons there. How amazing to meet Ms. Goodall in person! I have to say, June, you have done some really hard things, and you CAN also do this SugarFree journey! We will so this next adventure together!
