Plasticity Experimental Modeling
Could be a radio, could be a music device, could be anything you want to put a label on. Started off as a cube in Plasticity and ended up here. I don't know what it is or what it might be.

@Nick Fox it too have A ton of models yet to hit blender and get rendered out im sure like most painters until a frame is put on a piece od art its still work in progress. I take a break every now and the when modelling it helps reset and sometime you see thing from a different perspective. Look forward to seeing the Pod in due course.

Is there a space on here for a gallery? for folk to display their work. It'd be cool to see what others are up to :)

Nokia 3310
Hi all, So I'm only at the beginning of my Plasticity's journey. After the first free course about the Apple Watch - which was really cool - I just wanted to make something by myself to see where it could go. I tried to work on the legendary Nokia 3310 phone with the following references while saying to myself "this should be fairly easy !" (it's only a cubish shape, right?!). But for the moment it's the total opposite of an easy piece of plastic, haha. The body is actually all curvy, not even a total Z mirroring and I just can't achieve something even okay-ish (in my opinion). I've began to think that I still don't have the skills allowing me to do this for now cuz' it shouldn't be an impossible thing to do with Plasticity, right ? I tried several methods: going from a cube and extruding, then adding some bevels; going from 3 curves and Lofting them; … but there's always some twist where I find myself blocked. With some frustration I went to Blender and just began to create it this way, which is just easier in my case, haha. But this is not the goal here ! I just know it should be doable in Plasticity (I can't actually see why not..?), but is this something that would require XNurbs ? Or am I just missing something ? I'm of course not asking anybody to do it for me but maybe just giving me some hints on how to achieve this (I just do not like to abandon something when I'm confronted to some issues, haha)? Maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself and I should wait longer to achieve this challenge, I don't know. Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance to those who will read the post and many thanks if answering ! ^^ Have a great Sunday all.

@Rafael Carette thanks for the comments about the Camera I need another project for sure just got a bit of work on at the moment which is spoiling my fun! Glad you got a little further I found it best if you actually have the thing in front of you to help you model instead of just relying on static images it really does help with looking at edge flow.
Texturing Problem with Blender
This is another reason I hate rendering in Blender, but have no other option. I created a dial for a coffee grinder model I made and exported is as a png with a clear background - basically white letters over no background. So the file has and alpha channel that should show as empty when assigned to a series of faces in Blender. It in fact doesn't and the background is showing as 100% black. I've tried all sorts of 'fixes' including separating the faces with the number gradations on it, but nothing seems to work and even linking the alpha from the image file into the BSDF doesn't do anything. Any ideas what's going on? I've attached an image showing the render and the material.

this I show I have done it in the past with my camera watch this video that Nikita published also as this was a revelation to me as to unwrapping and adding different logos to different areas of the same uv wrap this changed my understanding and workflow completely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x74AlpNMHbE watch from 14min - Hope this helps you as much as it did me
First Plasticity Work...
I jumped right in after a few tuts... can't wait to get into Nikita's curriculum...
