How to inspire your kids to chase their dreams?
(No matter how big they are) When I would tell my parents "I wanna be a billionaire" They would reply with "You can't even save your own money" (Talking about birthday/christmas money I would blow on whatever toy I obsessed over. - spoilt mofo) It was very discouraging and led me to not give a f*ck in school. (Still got awesome grades ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘‰ ) With that said, i'm curious to hear how you spark curiosity in your kids:

Children are generally optimistic and believe anything is possible; the trick is for parents not to stifle their creativity or imagination! Parents are responsible for setting high expectations (in a positive way) and being proactive in their children's journey. Some ideas I've picked up along the way as a professional educator: ๐Ÿ”ถ Lead by example. Inspire your kids by being a dream role model. Kids do what they see rather than as they're told. Parents should live their best life so kids can watch and learn. ๐Ÿ”ถ Have family adventures. Allow kids to be daring and brave, within reason. Bold actions can expand their horizons of what's possible. Make a bucket list of local expeditions. ๐Ÿ”ถ Give them opportunities to explore. Whether it's playing musical instruments, collecting art supplies, or hunting for treasure on the beach, let the child try new things. ๐Ÿ”ถ As a follow-up, encourage kids to explore their inclinations. Every child is born with a gift, but often, it must be discovered through trial and error. Parents should take note of natural talents to nurture. ๐Ÿ”ถ Read storybooks. Flying on a magical unicorn might not be feasible, but it doesn't hurt to explore imaginative possibilities. Give kids time to think and play creatively. ๐Ÿ”ถ Study great people who achieved extraordinary things against all odds. Some inventors, explorers and leaders can also serve as inspiring role models. Discuss how these lessons could be applied in our lives. ๐Ÿ”ถ Instil a growth mindset. Praise the child's hard work and determination rather than more fixed abilities or characteristics. The child should think, "I can't do this YET". ๐Ÿ”ถ Make a vision board. Kids can cut out images from magazines to represent their aspirations. This can be an ongoing project to visualise goals. Follow up with action steps to make progress towards this outcome. This is not an exhaustive list, but hopefully, it sparks some ideas. These things are also easier said than done. I'm still trying to implement them with my 7-year-old boy. I try to remind my son that he can do anything he puts his mind to.
