How I got my first paying client...
I started building funnels about nine months ago, and within my first month, I got my first paying client. So, how did I convince someone to hire me, even though I had no prior experience building funnels? My secret: I started by working for free for a friend who ran Google Ads. Here’s how it happened: I met a guy about a year ago who specializes in Google Ads, and we stayed connected through Instagram. This is where the power of social media comes into play—keeping relationships alive. When I was ready to start building funnels, I reached out to him and offered to build funnels for him. Why him specifically? Because he was already running Google Ads campaigns, and funnels are a crucial part of a successful Google Ads strategy. He was creating his own funnels, so I saw an opportunity. I made him an offer: I would build funnels for him for free if he gave me a chance. He agreed. But here’s the key—you can’t just stop there. You need to ask them directly: "Which customer are you currently working with that I can build a funnel for?" Getting them to name a specific customer gives you both clarity on the next steps. I even told him I was willing to build up to 50 funnels for free, but it only took three before he started paying me. @Patrick Oliverio I was in sales pretty much all my professional life. I though that this is what I will do for the rest of my life. Man I’m so happy I’m in marketing right now. Much more fulfilling for me. For funnels I use clickfunnels classic (I don’t use 2.0). I also use GHL. For automations I use Zapier, make.com and GHL For CRM I use GHL and HubSpot. I have different clients with different needs which requires me to use different software.

How I got my first paying client... (Part 2)
So there I was, with three free funnels under my belt, when my friend came back to me with some great news: his customers loved my pages. In fact, many of them thought my funnels looked better than their original websites. That was a game-changer. At that moment, he realized there was no point in trying to do these pages himself anymore. So, how much did I charge? I did what every entrepreneur has done at some point—I threw out a number that felt both terrifying and thrilling. "$500 per funnel," I said, bracing for his reaction. And to my surprise, he didn’t hesitate. “Deal.” To be honest, I was undercharging him. But at that moment, it didn’t matter. This was the first time someone paid me to build a page, and the confidence boost was worth more than the money. But looking back, I now understand a crucial lesson: don’t count your customer’s money. For me, at that point, $500 was a lot of money. For him? It was nothing. Often, we judge our customers’ ability to pay by our own self-worth—which, when you’re just starting, is usually low. But as Alex Hormozi says, charge a price so high that you almost crack a laugh when you name the price. The Tools That Got Me There When it comes to the tools I used, I stuck with the basics that work. Here’s what made those funnels successful: - GoHighLevel – My go-to for building pages and setting up automation. It’s an all-in-one platform that just makes sense. - Figma – I used this to create optimized images that fit the brand and boosted conversions. - Templates by Gusten – While I used his templates, I customized them to reflect each customer’s brand. - ChatGPT – For helping me brainstorm the structure and copy, giving me a fresh perspective every time. - Relume (free version) – I used this when I needed some extra design inspiration. With some clients, I used ClickFunnels Classic, but I avoid CF 2.0—and trust me, there are good reasons for that. If clients insist, I’ll use Zapier or Make.com for automation and Hubspot for CRM, but I really prefer sticking to GoHighLevel. I only take on those projects when I see serious potential with the client.

@Sidahmed Khlil GHL is way better for small to medium size businesses. For big businesses we need to use UTMs to track the sales, and CF2.0 does not have UTMs built. I use CF classic for big businesses that I work with.

confused depressed but i want make money
Hey guys, I'm just a beginner and I want to make money online. I'm interested in starting my own funnel agency, but I don't know how to start or how to get my first client. I have zero budget to work with. Can anyone please give me some guidance and step-by-step advice on how to start my agency and get my first client? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Using Figma Vs GHL or Click Funnels
Is anyone else having a hard time converting their designs from figma to their funnel building software? I'm able to make my figma templates look really sharp but it is hard to transfer all of the files over to my click funnels account and have it look the same. Should I just be using figma for general designs and portfolio mock-ups? In other words should I stop using figma and focus mainly on building out my funnels in the GHL or Click Funnels Software? Thanks

I use figma to create images and graphics (almost like photoshop) that later I import to CF or GHL. I do not design the pages there. Also when you design in any type of software you need to take into account the limitations that CF or GHL have. I don't think that design is the most important thing tho. Messaging is what converts people. Design helps make the messaging easy to consume (equally important). But a fancy design will not help your funnels convert more.
