I was playing with Claude to see if I could make a "choose your own adventure" game ala Oregon Trail with data from a client I do Shopify work for. I had initially given Claude instructions to act like a brand manager for the client. Fun back and forth, adding images and docs of copy from the website. Then I got bold and tried to make an artifact. I exported the product database from Shopify, cleaned it up, made it a .csv file, and loaded it into the thread. I messed with it a bit and finally got some results that I could save into a code editor, open in the browser, and "play" the game. I even got some images rendering, from the .csv file. But whenever I asked for changes it would not integrate them. When I finally got testy and demanded it integrate changes it DUMPED me, π€£. And I hit the max length on the chat:( More deets - I am paying for Claude, using 3.5 Sonnet. I went to a full-stack coding boot camp in NYC in 2017. JS made me cry for the first time in a decade when I was first learning it. Since then I have avoided it π¬. One of my strengths is I am great at pseudo-coding--which is great for prompting, IMO. If you have made it this far.... ideas on what I did wrong? How/where can I put the mini app so others can see/play with it? Github? I am a total newbie with Claude-saw Lauren's presentation at the Brand Builders summit and just went for it! Here's my chat
