Thanks for the recommendation 👍 For anyone looking for drawing or oil painting lessons and advice, I can recommend Eric Armusik. The flexibility of his lessons have worked well for me and he's a really great person 😊

HAPPY FRIDAY! What was one big WIN this week?
I love this question; my wise business coach Ralph begins every session, asking me this. It forces me to look for the good, even when it was a rough week! :) They say that the feelings of gratitude bring in "good luck" or just good things in general. So the practice of NOTICING the good stuff is important, if you want to draw more good stuff to you. FOR ME: I got a deposit to hold a painting! This was a big one - it's 72" tall and 24" wide, and it's been sitting around for years. It's an awesome piece (photo below) - the collector who bought it loves to pay CASH. He's one of my favorite buyers. October has been really slow for art sales (it always is) and so selling this painting on October 30th saved the month :)

@Pat Sloss Great 😃 I was looking at a few and my intuition said go with Mailerlite. I need to grow my list now...put something on my last post to get people to sign up but just about no response, will send some DM's next and hopefully have more luck 🤞

@C G Great news! 🌊💙
Yes or no ❓Black Friday Art sale?
My husband Drew hates when I make him do a sale on his art prints! 😅 But…. Last year we made 50%of our holiday art sales during Black Friday sale weekend! We offered 20% off everything at www.drewbrophyart.com and we advertised it through email, Instagram and facebook. It worked so well we are doing it again this year. This time, he’s not complaining about it as much. 😂 But he’s making us change how we do it. We did a social media post and sent an email every day, putting something different on sale on different days. It was a little complicated for us, so this year we are going to simplify it. I’ll share the details after we have it all figured out…. ❓How about you? Do you plan on doing a sale at all during the holidays? Or do you not like that idea? 👇🏽 I’d love your thoughts on it!

@Amanda Dagg I agree that the prints would have a better chance...will see whether I'm right once I have mine ready too...a bit of trial and error I suppose.

@Pat Sloss I signed up with Mailerlite and they give you a free 30 day trial of their premium account
A weird request
This nice guy who has been following me on fb for a long time just messaged me to inquire about prints for artwork I posted. He writes: "A high resolution virtual file would be awesome and save you the time and shipping. I might try having it printed on metallic paper (with your permission)" WTF???? What would you respond? This is what I replied. What do you think? Your request for a HD file is posing a bit of a question to me! Here is why: Basically if I did that for every person who wanted a print of my art I would have to work at a pizza shop to sustain my art hobby (: well more likely an architectural firm! That is what I trained for! I make a living from my art. It also took me years of trials and errors with printing to settle with what will have the best quality and results for my colors. My preference would be that I do the printing for you My prices go from US$27 (8x10 paper) and between $90 to $400 for canvas. Let me know what you think. I hope you understand! I am open to discuss your ideas. I look forward to hearing your thoughts 😀

Hopefully he can see your point on this. Difficult to decide how much to explain but think you did so in a great conversational way and should help him understand where you're coming from. I've had some business advisory meetings and the guy keeps on at me about offering digital downloads but don't seem to be able to get across why I don't want to do it.
