Referral
How does the referral work for incoming members of my community? Is it only for those who refer people that start their own community on skool or can they invite people to my community and get a percentage of the monthly cost?

@Bebe Chez For those who refer people that start their own community on Skool. Referrals within a community is something we will do later 🀝

@Jason Kahle Its 40% of Skool pricing ($39/mo). You’ll receive affiliate commission as long as their group has an active subscription.
App not working
Are there any cell phones that dont support the skool app? Is there a work around? My client says, it is not working with her cell. Thanks 😘

If the phone is old and doesn’t have the relatively new OS, then there’s a good chance they won’t be able to download the Skool app. This is governed by the App Store. The alternative is to use the Skool on the web browser.
Spam in my inbox 😳
Is anyone else starting to get spam messages in their inbox like this? I’m wondering how we can prevent this from happening. Thanks 😊

@Bodhi Lowski It seems to be coming from the Boostosterone Academy group. Toggle OFF Skool Chat from the members of that group - https://www.skool.com/settings?t=chat and definitely click the Three Dots Menu to block and report the profile. @Eric Rodriguez πŸ‘€
Stripe closed my account
Devastating. There is nothing predatorial about my community. I carefully examined the "restricted businesses list" and nothing about what I'm offering violates their terms. Can anyone help or advise me? I've already reached out to the Skool Support team. This was Stripe's message to me: "Hello, We’re writing to let you know that we have determined that your business is in violation of the Stripe Services Agreement. Specifically, we are unable to accept payments for businesses that our banking partners consider predatory, as mentioned on our Restricted Businesses list. As a result, we will need to close your Stripe account on December 11, 2024. Until then, you can continue processing payments normally, but after this date, your account will be closed and you will no longer be able to accept payments. We will continue making payouts to your bank account until you receive all of your funds. If you believe that we’ve misunderstood or miscategorized your business and would like us to conduct another review of your account, please complete the form below on your Stripe Dashboard to provide more information about your business." Thanks in advance!

@Benny Wills Yea its strange. I have reached out to them about this. Let’s see what they say. They usually get back to us in 1-3 business days.

@Benny Wills I haven't heard back from the Stripe team yet. There's a chance I won't be able to hear from them until weekend, due to holidays. As soon as I do, I'll report back.
Classroom Course Creator: Code Block
Hello everyone! When adding content to a page under the classroom course creator, has anyone fully exercised the β€˜code block’ tool? I was attempting to insert a code snippet to add an interactive quiz, but it seems as though the β€˜code block’ tool is purely for displaying code. Or perhaps I am simply using the tool wrong! I would greatly appreciate any input! Thank you!

@Jacob Hammer Note that the code block field is designed to embed code blocks that others can refer to and copy. Unlike websites, it doesn’t embed a script. Coding communities primarily use it to share code snippets, while other communities use it for formatting purposes.

@Jacob Hammer I don’t think there’s a way to do that. You can do so on your website/landing page, and then link the page as an action item to the lesson. More of a workaround solution.
