What is Your Sales Process? Anyone Not Using Calendly?
Does anyone not have a calendly booking link? If not I'd strongly recommend you get one here https://calendly.com/pricing You will need at least the essentials so your attendees get email reminders which improves show up rate. Once you have your link make sure it's everywhere ie your social media bios, about you sections, email signatures and use it as you only point of entry for people to book in with you. This makes things more time effective with time blocking rather than reactively taking random calls at random times when you could be working hard on something else which would take you away from what you were doing. Personally I time block certain days for calls which frees me up other days to get into a flow state working on growing the business/servicing clients and ensures prospects get my full undivided attention on calls. One of the major benefits of Calendly is that you can autonomously pre qualify your appointments by making it essential that all your leads fill in an application form so you know you're only investing the time into contacting the leads that are right for you and ready to roll. We also suggest you conduct your appointments over Zoom. This helps build trust with your prospects which will increase your conversion rates and you can also record the sessions which can be sent to your prospect to refer back and save them taking notes so you have their full attention. Personally I don't allow people to take these calls from their car, while they are on the move or in busy environments. Again so you have their full attention. Some of the questions you could ask on the application are as follows: Which service are you looking for? eg: - New Purchase - Remortgage - Buy to Let When are you looking to move? - Asap - Within 6 month - Within 6-12 months - Over 12 months - Just gathering information Deposit Status - I have a deposit - I have access to the funds for a deposit

I'd looked at Calendly and I like the idea, but I use Google Workspace for my business, and they've now introduced the same Appointment Scheduler for most price plans. Integrates directly into your Google Calendar. Worth mentioning a free option for those that might already be paying for it :-)
The Problem with Professional Referers
Now, don't get me wrong on this… I know professional referers can work for some firms and advisors. However, for me, this method of lead generation lacks one major component… Control. I see this similar to referrals from friends and family as a reactive method to grow a business. Reactive in the way that you just have to take whatever comes your way. Just because you can make money from something doesn't mean you should. Taking on any bit of business that comes your way can quickly lead to complexity, resulting in you working your nose to the grind stone doing long hours, reduction in profit, and eventually burn out. So what's the solution? It takes the same amount of time to place a 1k client than it does a 5k client. Which makes it a more productive use of your time to fill your calendar with 5k prospects rather than 1k prospects. The beautiful thing about digital marketing is that you can put yourself in front of and build an audience of 5k prospects to build relationships and connections with these people. When you serve a single customer profile that all share the same problems and desires, you get to learn exactly where to go to get them what they need and how to solve their problems quickly and efficiently. This results in far fewer headaches, working less, earning more and ultimately more time to spend with your family and a better, more premium service. And when you're able to offer a more premium service, you're able to charge a premium fee. What are your thoughts? Agree or disagree? #businessgrowth #financialservices #mortgagebroker #ifa #commercialbroker #leadgeneration #newageadvisorfs

Totally agree with this Jim - it used to be the case that we needed help to get "bums on seats", in fact many years ago I worked for a national estate agents and that was one of the main targets for the negotiators, and my worst nightmare. The rubbish they'd book in just so they could hit that target was mad. Now with the likes of Facebook we can target exactly who we want to speak to - assuming you know how to do that of course (I don't.....yet!)

Hi all, I'm Steve Dransfield, MD and adviser from Alexander Financial Solutions, between Leeds & Bradford in God's Own County of Yorkshire. Been fortunate for a long time that I have relied on referrals and remortgages, but times seem to be changing and I'd like to learn more about self generating new appointments. Conscious of the difference between appointments and leads - the phone book is full of leads! I think I have a good work/life balance, but would love to be in a position where I can say "I don't work Fridays"! Spend a lot of time out walking in Dales, Pennines or Lake District and in the warmer months we take our little boat across to Anglesey for messing about on the water!

@Dan Reddish Just watching your first video in the classroom Dan, you've hit the nail on the head for me. I've been an adviser/broker for 21 years, and it's always been "I do a bit of everything", which can be useful if one area of the market is struggling, say buy to let, at least the resi remortgage market is better. But given my location, house prices aren't what they are in the south, therefore proc fees aren't either. At the start of this year, I really started to look at opportunities in bridging / auction finance, and it's been a real eye opener. Less paperwork, faster completions and FAR bigger proc fees, decent broker fees AND the refinance for exiting the bridge gives you another bite of the cherry. I've decided that this is the niche I want to work in so looking for any guidance advice on HOW to get in front of the right people 👍🏻👍🏻
