Simple Problem
Can someone please tell me how to add an accent over the "e" on my laptop? I feel terrible every time I misspell Rene because I don't know how to add the accent! Thank you!

@René Balke @Tj Zzz Thank you both. I'm not having any success. I am in the US using a standard US keyboard. I can see it worked for you Tj, I wonder if there's a setting somewhere for my keyboard that is not allowing it..

Found it! I had to go into my settings and download the US-international keyboard. Thank you @René Balke @Tj Zzz Now I can spell your name correctly René!

Closing Orders
Hi. Did someone of you experience difficulties to write code that closes orders, especially if they reach a certain stop loss or take profit. I found that when the market moves super fast, an additional "hidden" stop loss or take-profit can be very important. However, I get error #3 when the EA tries to close these positions (only happens every ~150th trade or so and all 149 other trades geht closed due to hitting to/sl). Is there an error in the code (MT4)? Thank you so much!!

I'm not familiar with MT4 code, but if you say it happens when the market moves super fast I wonder if it could be a liquidity issue at the price. Is it happening during high impact news or during rollover times?

Trade Panel Question
I used Rene's video as a starting point to make an EA that automatically calculates risk based on where you drag the SL and TP lines. I had to put the Lot calculation into a text box that can be edited by the user. I don't know how to make this un-editable. I also don't know how to add a label on the box so that the user sees that the text is "LOTS". Does anyone know how to add text on the panel that cannot be edited? I am attaching a picture to see what I'm talking about.

I found out how to add the label, but the user is still able to edit the text block. It updates to the correct reading almost immediately so it isn't a huge problem. I think I could also make it another label.

Changing the text block to a label works, I just had to move the inputs to the OnTimer() function. I think it looks cleaner too. I'm still not sure why NormalizeDouble isn't working for the inputs. 🤔

Do you guys use Tradebuddy?
I really enjoy this tool from Rene and use it to make my own report every Friday afternoon. So I have a question. Right now I update strategies after every import. And I am doing it like for every strategy entering the MagicNumber or the comment. This is a highly repetitive task. So I ask myself if I maybe do it wrong and this could be automated somehow?

I have used Tradebuddy. It's a great tool. I think when you import your trades, it imports the magic number as well. Or am I misunderstanding your question?

Any suggestion for trading system / EA to pass Prop. firm challenge?
Hi Guys, I am trying to write EA to help pass Prop. firm challenge particularly when many Prop. firms now offered unlimited challenge periods. There are many approaches/strategies such as - Rene's Scalping EA project - MA cross over with aggressive trailing stop - martingale re-entry for trend following strategy - trend breakout strategy with high RR - Support/Resistance or Supply/Demand strategy with confirmation candle patterns/market structure in smaller TF with high RR strategy etc. The last one could be my preference strategy. If you have pass Prop. firm challenge with your EA, it would be great if you can share your idea or help guide me to the right approach. Thanks in advance for your contribution.

@Timo Amtsberg Being a scam is debatable. Most of them probably make more money from failed challenges than they do with profitable traders. Some even pay their profitable traders from the money paid in from failed challenges. Honestly, I don't care how they do it on the back end as long as they keep paying out. I am trading with way more capital than I could have in a personal account and I mostly trade CFDs which I cannot any other way in the US. I don't care if they give me a demo or a real funded account as long as they pay the profits I make. Something else I do is trade with multiple firms just in case one closes their doors, I'm not all-in on one firm. Speaking to the EA part, most of them don't want two traders trading the same EA. With that, I wouldn't use any EA available on the market because someone else is doing the same thing. I code my own. I'm not saying they are all good and I'm not saying none of them are scams. I'm just giving my point of view and my experience.

I've been trading for ten years. I found Rene's YT channel about nine months ago and it changed my trading world. I now trade primarily with EA's.
