Where do you stand?
Hey guys, I am always thinking about new content/ways to help you on your programming/trading journey. I listed some options below that will help me with this. Please select the one that describes your situation best. Also it would be great if you write a comment with your current situation regarding your trading/programming level.

I can write MT4 programs/EA but I can't write MT5 program from scratch. I created MT5 EA through EA creator apps. I would like to know how to modify MT5 program to calculate lot size base on balance and SL size i.e. position sizing. Thanks.
Any suggestion for trading system / EA to pass Prop. firm challenge?
Hi Guys, I am trying to write EA to help pass Prop. firm challenge particularly when many Prop. firms now offered unlimited challenge periods. There are many approaches/strategies such as - Rene's Scalping EA project - MA cross over with aggressive trailing stop - martingale re-entry for trend following strategy - trend breakout strategy with high RR - Support/Resistance or Supply/Demand strategy with confirmation candle patterns/market structure in smaller TF with high RR strategy etc. The last one could be my preference strategy. If you have pass Prop. firm challenge with your EA, it would be great if you can share your idea or help guide me to the right approach. Thanks in advance for your contribution.

@Theo H Thanks for suggestion. MFF/FTMO/5%er/TFT has now unlimited period challenges (not 30/60 days). I believe it is new trend and the other prop. firm would follow that. I saw on the website, Smart Prop Trader has 50/100 days rules which is not ideal for me.

@Theo H Cool I will check it out.
Market Phase Filters
Everybody would love to have got a great Filter that says if a market is trending, ranging, week or strong or whatever. Always by the general idea that this assumption might help to select the correct trading approach for that phase. Unfortunately Filters are lagging. So when a Trend Filter says it's a Trending Market, often the direction might switch in a short period of time. If a Filter has no lag at all, it's a repainter. It would be great to hear your favourite Filters for specific Market situations, please also on which TF you are using it.

For trend/sideway filter, I used Supertrends or Alligator in HTF such as H4/D1. Which indicator do you use?
Don't insult me: but what about Grid Systems?
It's so inspiring when a new community platform launches that it makes you want to throw all your ideas into the room and hope for helpful responses. I'll hold off on that, but there's another topic (besides the one I've already posted) that I'd love to get a response on from the community: Grid trading systems I know many will immediately say, "Just stay away from that. That's the devil's stuff! Is it? Almost all systems that have a wide name recognition are based on a grid algorithm. We all know that grid systems - when the market runs massively against you - incur massive losses. But does it have to be like that? Is it not possible - by analyzing e.g. the current market phase exactly - to determine when a grid system should be used and when it is better to switch it off again? Or - to open an additional field - could artificial intelligence perhaps help us to turn grid systems into "harmless" systems that constantly generate profits without the disadvantage of massive drawdowns? Who of you has already programmed grid systems and would like to participate in this discussion?

The Investment Innovator EA (mql5 top listed) crashing
What do you think about the Signal of the Investment Innovator EA. The EA is among the highest rated EAs and the signal is in a really big drawdown right now: https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/1973157?source=Site+Profile+Seller Previously the seller had even more signals but they disappeared over time. Maybe they also did not go too well. This is a typical pattern I observed on mql5. Seller tend to put out new EAs with (temporary) good signals. Over time they increase the price of their product and when the signals start to crash they take the EAs off the market. What do you think? Comment below..

I prefer to have higher RR >1:1.5. But the EA has RR 12:1 It is like a time bomb to blow the account to me.
