Major changes to DP-600 certification from November 15 onwards
Lot of changes coming to the certification from November onwards and few topics have been deleted like Pyspark is gone but KQL has been introduced https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/resources/study-guides/dp-600

@David Reger Well unless you want to do a quick dive into real time analytics and deployment pipelines (which is good stuff anyway), rescheduling could be warranted.
Any geospatial folks using Fabric + Azure Maps?
An interesting post from Johannes Kebeck (Group Program Manager - Azure Maps at Microsoft) on LinkedIn: " So many things you can do with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Maps: - From Event Stream over Event House into Real Time Dashboard to track your assets, - Reflex to send alerts when assets enter or leave a geofence, - Lakehouse Notebook and Azure Maps to determine speeding and perform other post-drive analysis. - ...or risk analysis with Lakehouse, Notebook and Azure Maps published into PowerBI for broader consumption. " Read more about Azure Maps. Is this something you're interested in/ implementing? Let me know your experiences! I can see this being a really useful use case for Fabric, for companies with a geospatial element

I realized yesterday that maps are actually my big love and realized I could combine that to my data journey. Looking forward learning more about this subject.
PowerBI recommendations
Hello, Iยดve been going through the learning path on the MS learning for the certification. It was going quite nicely until in the last part I realized the path actually assumes I know something about PowerBI. The thing is, I really donยดt know about it much and did not realize this when starting out. I have some experience of Tableau so Iยดm not completely beginner with BI tools. What level of knowledge should I have to comfortably to be able to pass e.g. the DAX questions? Do you have some suggestions for e.g. MS learn modules that suites this purpose? Considering getting the PL-300 cert at some point but Iยดm focusing on my data transformation and modeling skills for now (and my Fabric trial is running) so not going to go through process yet.

@Nikola H on thanks for info. I intend to learn just enough Power BI basics and DAX to pass the exam for now. Doing full certification can wait as I'm going for analytics/data engineering role anyway, not analyst.

Thanks for answers. After a consideration of about... 39 seconds, I decided to p ut my DP-600 on backburner while I go through PL-300 stuff. I like diagrams anyway and making them is kinda soothing. Bought course by Phillip Burton on Udemy sale for 15โ‚ฌ and having done 50/300 videos now, I can say itยดs pretty good bang for the buck. Now my only worry is can I do it before my Fabric trial runs out. Also, was wondering if I should do on complete e2e project on Fabric before the exam? If that is generally a good idea, do you have any proposals for a public dataset to use for it?

Hi, I'm Visa from Finland. I work as a support engineer maintaining and troubleshooting analytics platform for a process industry technology company. I'm bored with troubleshooting stuff and want to build something new instead. My skillset is diverse meaning I can't do nothing vert efficiently but have general idea from very wide range of subjects. My target is now to become an analytics engineering freelancer. Figured out learning about Fabric would be a good first stepping stone on that journey. Looking forward to share it with this community!
