What an eye opener! Replacing a refrigerator!
I purposely delayed the delivery of my new refrigerator so I could eat as much out of the freezer compartment (bacon πŸ₯“ and shrimp 🍀) and declutter old stuff from the refrigerator section. Well, I found old foods from years ago when I was seduced by the "keto substitute" recipes. Almond, coconut and oat flours, artificial sweeteners, even several egg white cartons to make angel food cake. πŸ€ͺ It was easy to toss the moldy olives and cheese. I transitioned to carnivore over 2 years ago and yet I had no actual plan to trash food I would no longer eat. This is an important step in fully embracing the carnivore lifestyle. I live alone so I don't have to accommodate anyone else's food choices. The US postal service had their food drive this weekend so I also donated 50 cans of unexpired food. πŸ‘πŸ€—πŸ₯³

Problem Solving πŸ€ͺ
I noticed a few months ago that my refrigerator thermostat was acting weird. My butter and eggs were freezing and even my Brita pitcher had sheets of ice forming inside. But when suddenly I observed the opposite issue (no longer cold) I had some problem solving to do. I quickly moved anything that could be frozen into the freezer. I had to toss other things out and then made a quick trip to the store to buy a new refrigerator. It will be delivered next Tuesday. However, this is really impacting my meal plans. I can't defrost frozen bulk quantities of any meats or buy new packs because I can't refrigerate them. But I am decluttering the items that should have been long since discarded like condiments and jams. I have been eating a lot of bacon πŸ₯“ πŸ˜‹ It is one of the few things that can defrost and be eaten quickly. I am actually excited about having an empty fridge to restart my meal planning. I've been watching carnivore weekly meal prep videos. πŸ˜‹

April challenge
I’m down 4.4 lbs for the month of April. I’m motivated not to gain this weight back. Living more of a low carb lifestyle is more sustainable for me than trying to be a strict Carnivore. I'm definitely meat based with some veggies and salads here and there. I’m happy that Alice & Kevin allow us all in the group and the challenge. Keeps you accountable. πŸ˜„

Dose change worked!
I logged everything I ate in cronimeter and measured all my daily exercise. I monitored my blood sugar and ketones and saw no change on the scale or tape measure. 😒 So I increased my thyroid medicine and the scale moved down a few lbs. I called the doctor to renew the higher dose prescription. I only had several doses left. So May should show results for all my obedience. This was today's GKI readings.

I've been super busy lately at work, but I'm still going strong. I've been too busy to document things, but today I said I was going to take photos of what I've been eating lately. Here is my usual sausage and egg omelet with black pepper bacon. Also, happy to report that I'm 21.3lbs down today since we started.πŸŽ‰πŸ˜
