Why I Own A Crappy Car, When I Could Have Had 4x Audi R8's #TORmentary Day 3
Hi fam, hope your Saturday has been treating you well so far.
Okay, let's jump straight into it.
I got to admit that I have never been very interested in cars.
That being said, I do remember the first time I saw an Audi R8....
(Yeah, that is the car Tony Stark drives in the movie "Iron Man")
...my heart literally skipped a beat or two.
Silly, I know.
But hey! It's the truth.
In my younger years, I put the car as a background on my screen...
...and even to this day, I still got it as a background.
Here's the thing.
I could actually have bought my dream car...
...the "Iron Man" car
...not 1
...not 2
...not 3
but 4 times.
So, why didn't I?
* Well, first time...
I actually spent a truckload of cash to save a young man's life - he was owing a lot of bad people a lot of money.
And, well, I paid his debt...
...in cash.
If not, he would with 99.99% certainty
...not be on this planet today.
** The second time I could have bought the R8?
Well, I spent way too much money on a bad investment deal, where I got fooled by a so-called business person from Canada.
I have nothing against Canadians.
But this guy...well, let's just say that he totally blindfolded and rug pulled me at the same time.
However, it was still 100% my fault.
Why?
Because I always take 100% responsibility of all my actions.
*** The third time I could have bought the super car?
Well, I invested in a house
Nothing more to say.
**** The fourth time?
Well, let's just say that I lost waaaaaay too much money
...day trading with digital assets (yeah, that is crypto)
...thinking I was way smart than I was
...and I was killing it for a week
...and then everything turned into a total sh*tshow.
And to be totally transparent...
I was really in a low place.
Like low low.
I was in massive debt.
Mortgage, credit card debt and short term loans.
...Okay, I'm starting to get tears in eyes no.
*breathing*
So, I was in this place...where I was about to lose my house...
...the first place I have ever lived
...where I actually felt at home
...and it was my dream house
...it looks like one of the nice houses in "Desperate Housewives".
Anyway.
I realized the...
...COLD
...HARD
...TRUTH.
That NOONE In the world...
...could help me
...out of this situation
...but myself.
And, when I realized that.
I started to cry.
Why?
Because, I knew what I needed to do.
And what did I have to do?
I had to stop feeling sorry for myself...
...and to the thing that I hated (at that time)
...which was to sell my services to clients
...and just freakin'
...take massive action
...ignore my emotions
...and just book appointments
...and make sales
...whether I felt like it or not.
Because, if not.
I would literally lose my house.
So, I decided that I would become a freakin'...
...stone cold
...insane
...assassin
...a mix between
...a beast
...and a machine.
And, so I did.
What's the takaway with this story?
1. You don't need to buy your dream car
2. Never think you are smarter than you are
3. You don't need 4 cars...duh!
4. And last, but not least, the only person that can help you
...from where you are now
...to where you want to go
...is you
...with the support of the Skool family ofc.
So, when was the last time you really pushed yourself to do something in your business, that you normally wouldn't do?
Share with the fam.
Love you guys.
Best,
Tor
P.S. Sometimes I post pure VALUE POSTS based on the top takeaways learnt from running the best paid performance agency in my country (and from spending over $350,000 learning from the best marketers in the world).
You can check out my latest post here...
I've 95% Show-Up Rate (Sales Calls) 5 Years Straight...Doing This
P.P.S. Why do I call my journaling towards winning The Skool Games #TORmentary?
Well, my name is Tor, and it's a documentary. So, in other words TORmentary.
In addition, it's a TORment to do...
...and it's also a TORment on my future business goals NOT to do.
P.P.P.S. I wasn't able to post yesterday, since I suddenly got 6 extra sales calls booked that day.
So, obviously after being very disappointed in myself...
...and lashing myself harshly with wet noodles
...I decided to write 2 posts today, so you will get a second post later today.
