Here’s How I Learned to Win Using the Skill Stacking Loop Framework
I Just Failed Miserably—But Here’s How I Learned to Win Using the Skill Stacking Loop Framework
I recently hit rock bottom and failed miserably. But I know failure is part of the process, and today, I want to share something powerful with you:
my Skill Stacking Loop Framework.
This tool teaches you how to overcome setbacks and WIN.
The Story Behind the Framework:
My wife and I couldn’t be more different. While I love taking action, she’s more cautious and resistant to anything that pushes her out of her comfort zone. She’s amazing, and I love her deeply, but I created this framework with her in mind—to help her move past those barriers.
Now, I use it to quiet the noise of overwhelm and fear in my own life. I’ve trained a 20-person real estate team using it, and now I’m teaching it to my children. Let me explain how it works.
The Problem We All Face:
We all pay lots of money to learn the secrets of success, hoping it will make us rich faster. But here’s the thing: even the best mentors, like Pace Morby and Tony Robbins, aren’t really teaching us. Don’t tune out—They are both incredible teachers, but what they are doing is showing us the path, not giving us the magic pill.
Think about it: before a baby can walk, they first have to see their parents walk. Before humans could fly, they had to observe birds in the sky. We all make the same mistake—we think paying for knowledge will directly translate to success.
But that’s not how it works.
We’ve been conditioned by years of schooling to believe that learning happens in a straight line, but real learning, the kind that leads to success, is messy.
Learning is a Loop, Not a Straight Line
Remember when you were 12 and wanted to drive so badly? You’d beg your parents to let you steer while sitting in their lap. At first, you were just discovering what driving felt like. Later, you learned you had to control the gas and brake with just your right foot, even though it felt natural to use both.
Only through repeated execution did you finally learn to drive. You hit a wall—many, actually—but every time, you pushed through, discovered something new, and kept going.
That’s the wall between Execution and Repeat. And this is where most people quit.
The Skill Stacking Loop Framework:
How to Win Without Overwhelm
Step 1: DISCOVER You’re not learning yet—you’re just discovering. You’re observing, noticing, and getting inspired.
Step 2: LEARN Gather just enough information to take action. You don’t need to know everything—just the basics to get started.
Step 3: EXECUTE This is where real learning happens. You’ll hit a wall, feel frustrated, and want to quit. But remember, this is where you receive the lesson. Don’t give up.
Step 4: REPEAT Take what you’ve learned from hitting that wall and go back to the start, but do it better this time. If you keep collecting these lessons (like puzzle pieces), you’ll eventually reach your goal.
Once you’ve earned enough puzzle pieces, you win. And when that happens, it’s time to swap out Step 4 for something even more powerful.
Step 4: REPLICATE Now, instead of repeating for yourself, you can teach others, outsource, or automate. You’ve developed a valuable skill that buys back your time, allowing you to focus on stacking even more skills.
That’s why I call it Skill Stacking.
I hope this framework helps you reach your goals.
Remember, I’m still in the loop myself, learning and refining.
Here’s a one-pager I built that might help you on your journey:
