If you're struggling to put out a video because you work a full time job, don't worry I got you.
I have been In the exact same place.
Learning YouTube and posting on YouTube takes a lot of time and effort. It's understandable to be frustrated.
Here is what helped me
✅1. Schedule different time slots for LEARNING about YouTube vs IMPLEMENTING what you've learned.
a lot of time I sit down to do something and fine myself "learning" a.k.a watching YouTube video about the thing instead of doing it.
I lie to myself and say that it's productive because i'm learning.
it's not what you said you were going to accomplish today so it's not productive.
now I decide beforehand if this is a work session or a study session and I stick to it.
If i'm working on my thumbnails i'm not allowed to start learning from a tutorial until my next scheduled learning session.
✅ 2. split task up according to the following:
- writing hook and outline and title
2. thumbnail and packaging and title
I decide on packaging and hook and outline before you I film
3 film
4 edit
5 posts
I split all my work session according to these categories.
this way no matter what day of the week it is. I know what I need to be working on based on where I am in the sequence.
Then I just don't allow myself to do any other part of the process until i have completed that step
This way if I only have an hour in the day, I have more clarity on what I should be doing and that usually helps me get the ball rolling.
This is what is working for me right now
I know I am still learning and my method might change as I get better at this, but this is what helps me right now.
But I want to hear from you.
What is working for you and what systems have you made to make yourself more productive in YouTube video creation?
P.S. I'm an open book please feel free to DM me any and all questions you have.
