Boosting/cutting frequencies that you can’t hear
I have hearing loss now as a result of a semi truck pulling out in front of me i was on a Road King Harley Davidson 2 years ago.
I broke my back and several other bones and banged my head resulting in severe Vertigo Tinnitus and I can’t hear above 10.5k in left ear and 12 k in right ear. However I can hear down to 30hz in both ears! Thankfully!
My post is about dealing with frequencies that we can’t hear. Even before the collision I could hear only to about 16.5khz.
BUT!! I can absolutely hear the difference when I boost way above my hearing limitations.
Like boosting 15 to 16 kHz. I can tell a difference! Even with a relatively low Q.
Why do you think that is? Harmonics ? Or is it a phantom of what I want to hear?
