It was a great day yesterday, all the kids got at least one win and that earned all of them a medal.
Kayden won double gold, and welcomed his baby brother into the world last night!
Ryan had 12 fights and idk how many wins but got his silver medal in no gi looking crazy dominant until a great battle in the final.
Kayson in his first major tournament got a silver medal in no gi with 1 win and 1 loss
Drew had a very tough draw and had to fight a grey black. He barely lost the first fight by 1 point, submitted him in the second fight and lost on points in the 3rd earning him a silver medal. He showed huge growth from his last tournament!
Oliver had a very competitive bracket he won 2 fights via submission over tough opponents and lost via points in his last fight but still got the gold because he had 2 submission wins and no one else did in that 4 man bracket
Onto the adults!
Andy had his first competition and as many of you older men know had to drop down into a younger bracket because he is just tougher than most older gents. He Had a tough draw and ran through a 10th planet gauntlet of X-wrestlers( all 3 matches against 10p guys), the one guy his age he was supposed to fight didn’t show. Did great in his first ever match only losing by points. And finished strong not giving up and working his guard.
Danielle also had to fight down in age and almost puked she was so nervous but rose to the occasion and submitted both opponents for the gold!
It was a great day love spending Saturdays with the team!
