Favorite Opening as Black?
There are many responses available for black to play in response to white's first move. Some Defenses require white's cooperation where as others can be played more systematically. I play the Caro-Kann from the black side of the pieces personally and try to get similar looking structures with the semi-slav vs. 1.d4

Favorite Opening as White?
What is your first strike over the chess board?! I prefer 1.e4 myself as it can lead to interesting lines such as the Evans Gambit, Scotch Gambit, Smith Morra Gambit, and other sharp lines! As a club player myself I find getting away from main line theory can give me the best chances both vs players above and below my rating.

WCC Day 3
I woke up this morning to the news that we are all tied up heading into the rest day! Gukesh, the young Indian phenom, won on time in a position in which he was up an exchange of a bishop for 2 pawns in which the computer evaluations was +1.9 in his favor!! Do you like having a bunch of pawns vs a piece? How good are your end games when you have the bishop pair? Link to Game 3 on Lichess: https://tinyurl.com/WCC3G
