3rd grade Boy Homeschool Curriculum
Ok, I know, I know. This group is NOT all about Curriculum. It's about the whole picture. The lifestyle. The values. So I thought this would be a good place to ask. My 3rd grader son just finished Language Arts 2 with The Good and The Beautiful. He hated it. I hated it. I don't know why we stuck with it. And I don't want to go through that again. He dislikes writing and I'm ok with it because he is a very self motivated, hard working, good kid. So I will write for him if it comes to it. I'd rather have a curriculum where he reads something/ watches something/ does some physical act and then we can talk about it or have a discussion or do a project on it. Is there even anything like that out there? We're sorry of doing it with Tuttle Twins Econ/ American History. Anyhow, I'd love any recommendations that I can research!

Are There Good Choices if Homeschooling Isn’t the Right Fit? 🤔
I hope it’s clear by now—homeschooling is my preferred choice for families. 🏡 But above all, my goal is to empower parents to make the best and most informed decision for their family’s unique needs. Beyond homeschooling, I encourage every family to see their home as a center for learning and discipleship, regardless of where their children spend their school days. So, if homeschooling doesn’t make sense for your family right now, what’s the next best option? Christian School. More specifically, Christian schools that honor and support the role of parents as the primary disciple-makers. A Christian school that recognizes its supportive role in the bigger picture of your family’s life can be a powerful partner in your child’s education and faith journey. // But what if you’re not a Christian, and homeschooling isn’t feasible at this time? Honestly... I’d still recommend a Christian school over other options. Many Christian schools focus on nurturing your child’s heart and mind—not one at the expense of the other. They’re often uniquely positioned to support families holistically. While I’ll always advocate for homeschooling as an ideal, I’m here to help you make the right choice for your family right now. Let me know in the comments how I can help you evaluate the best options for your current season! 👇

What's Your Child's Currency?
If your children are struggling to find drive and motivation, then this might be what's missing! 🔑 What intrinsically motivates them? This can be the fuel they need to push through challenges. We all hit rough spots, but when you discover what drives your child, it can make all the difference. One client shared how her son struggled with spelling until he learned he could win a trophy and public recognition in a spelling bee. That prize became his motivation, his currency. 🏆 What’s your child’s currency? Be curious, ask questions, and use that spark to help them reach new heights! 🚀 At the Homeschool Mastery Group, we thrive on parents sharing their insights and wins. Need that kind of support? Shoot me a DM to learn more. // Let's share some stories: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED THAT MOTIVATES YOUR CHILDREN? WHAT'S THEIR CURRENCY? For my daughter, it is quality time. She loves her daddy, and I'm so thankful for that! But when I get busy and neglect the personal attention and care she longs for, then everybody sees the difference. I've found that quality time works best for us at the start of our day: We wake up early together. Go on a walk. Then I make her a kids latte while I enjoy my coffee. Once that's done she starts self-regulating and I can much easier transition into the work day.
