Beating the productivity drum 🥁!
Deciding to homeschool instead of send your children to traditional schools will give you back more time with your kids than any other single decision you make for their entire lives. But once you've gained back all that time, if you don't learn to do it well, you'll never feel like you have time again. That's why I keep beating the productivity drum 🥁. Because when we help each other improve as homeschoolers, we help each other improve in everything we do. Across the entire Skool platform, Start Homeschooling continues to rise as one of the best groups for productivity 📈 I hope to reach the top spot, not to be #1, but because the journey to get there together will be 🔥 and I'm excited to take it with you all! // Don't forget to share your WINS & LOSSES So we can celebrate with you and support you through the good times and the bad!

Here's why you don't need a Teaching Degree
One of the biggest misconceptions about homeschooling is that you need to have formal training or a teaching degree to do it well. That’s simply not true. 🚫 Critics often approach education with a fixed mindset—believing learning only happens when someone is actively teaching. But homeschooling thrives when parents embrace a growth mindset and lead by example as lifelong learners. 🌱 When you learn alongside your children, you not only strengthen your bond but also teach them the most valuable skill of all: how to learn. The goal isn’t to teach kids what to think, but to help them discover how to think and grow independently. If this resonates with you, we can help! The Homeschool Mastery Group is here to guide you in becoming a confident, lifelong learner and crafting a home education program tailored to your family’s unique needs. Teaching Degree programs will only try to force you into the box of traditional education, and for homeschoolers this can inhibit their ability to take advantage home education offers. Instead, I recommend you head to the Classroom and check out our Foundations Course. This will help you get really clear on the values of your family, and teach you to implement those values into the homeschool program you design for your family.

New Member (late) Introduction
Hola, Buenas Tardes Familia 👋 My wife and I have been together for 17 years, and we’re excited to make 2025 our first full year of homeschooling. We’re thrilled to be here to learn and connect with this community as we embark on an adventure to teach English while practicing our Spanish, connecting with homeschooling communities across borders. This community is an incredible resource for our family as we set our sights on traveling through Mexico and South America starting mid-2025, alongside our three kids—our 15-year-old son and our daughters, 11 and 9. A huge thank you to Blake Willard for building this amazing community! We’re excited to share what we learn along the way, offering resources, tips, and insights in both English and Spanish to make homeschooling more accessible to families in different regions. We hope to translate valuable educational materials and experiences between the two languages and bring back stories, resources, and methods from the communities we meet. Looking forward to learning and growing with everyone here!
