I decided to pick a few subject lines from the 4D Academy channel and review them today.
Here are 3 subject lines from the students ๐
- SL1: Why I only hang out with rich people
- SL2: I thought I was screwedโฆ ๐ต
- SL3: Hereโs your ticket to success, %FIRSTNAME%
๐ The Review:
This one is WAYYY too obvious.
It's like saying "Why I run to stay healthy"
Duh.
People already know the answer. They know you already hang out with rich people because it helps you make more money.
My advice: make it less obvious and go more from a curiosity angle.
I actually like this one, although it depends on where you place it in the sequence/campaign.
If it's one of the first emails, I'd consider pushing this one back until the audience is more aware of you and have built a better relationship.
The reason for this is because if they don't know who you are, they aren't going to care as much about your story.
But with that being said, I still like it because using the emoji combined with the SL implies that the email is about a story of how you almost died, and who doesn't like drama?
Again, this is super vague.
Success?
What does success even mean? It means a completely different thing in every niche.
For fitness, "success" can mean being healthy, getting lean, building muscle, healing joints, healing your energy, etc.
For business, "success" can mean making lots of money, improving margins, getting more clients, lowering ad costs, etc.
Same thing for relationships.
So this SL is super vague, plus I've seen this same thing multiple times before.
Come up with something unique and different.
